re: vampires

Well, there is a quest that you can do in order to undo becoming a vampire but it is incredibly, REALLY long. To start it, you should talk to the count of Skingrad... or his servant who is outside in the lobby. Whatever. But beware, you can never be a vampire again.
If you happen to have the Deepscorn Hollow Plugin then you can just get the Purge Salts, go over to the fountain, and poof... vampirism is gone. Not forever, though.

re: vampires

I know the search feature on neo seeker doesnt work, but there should be a thread that talks about it pretty good somewhere. Another way is to look it up on gamefaqs. I believe theres an in-depth faq on vampires.

Yeah, here it is:
http://obliviondownloads.com/StoreCatalog_ProductList.aspx?SubCategoryId=1

On the list it's name is "Vile Lair". Once you download it go to the very bottom of the map, a good deal south of Leyawiin, and you'll find it on some island.

re: vampires

Alternatively I think "player.setav Vampirism 0" might work in the console... but not certain on that one without testing it... there is a console method to do it tho basically.

re: vampires

I just found two console commands that remove it.

The first will make you susceptible to a glitch so save before using it. if it appears in your inventory everything is fine. If not then don't save. Here it is:
Player.AddItem 977E4 1
Drink the potion.

If it doesn't work use the console and type in ALL of the following:

Set PCVampire to -1
player.setfactionrank A319 -1
player.removespell 2C2A5
player.removespell 2C2A4
player.removespell 2C2A2
player.removespell 3DB3A
player.removespell 2C2B0
player.removespell 2C2AD
player.removespell 2C2AA
player.removespell 2C2A8
player.removespell 2C2B1
player.removespell 2C2AE
player.removespell 2C2AB
player.removespell 2C2A7
player.removespell 3BEDA
player.removespell 3BEDB
player.removespell 3BEDC
player.removespell 3BED9

re: vampires

It is the cure from the quest basically =/ so probably cause problems with the quest I would imagine =P. The alterative method is pretty much the way most other things cure vampirism... like for example the purgesalts for Vile Lair, these only remove vampirism and do not protect you against future infection. Where the potion will protect you against future infection (that is Vampirism, the initial diease can still infect you but just will never mature into vampirism).
