They are around, they are just quite small, there is a number of them, look around on the floor and on rocks... generally around Garrigan himself.

re: A Few Quick Questions

Yeah, I think there is 1 (or 2) around Garrigan. One way to did it is go away from Garrigan ice-block to the outer edge where the ice stops (isn't there).

Then eyes-fully-down walk to Garrigan's block. Keep repeating that going in a clockwise direction, but just slightly more. You should get all those on the ground.

Then do the block itself and you should get them all. ..... The more you get, the more bonus you get ... I don't know if or what the minimum is to class as quest-done.

They looked to me like a short icy lollypop, same colour as the ice.

If I remember correctly, I put on Night-Eye and it was easier to see them (a bit more contrast with the ice). You might consider trying that.

Thanks guys! I managed to do it in the end- I retrieved five of the tears, and apparantly that was enough. The Night-Eye really helped, Aeronut, so thanks!

re: A Few Quick Questions

Lol, plenty! Mainly about quests...

Firstly, the one about having to get twelve slaughterfish scales for the guy outside the Imperial City- how on earth do you kill those things? I keep attacking them, but they're really relentless. My character is an Argonian, so breathing underwater isn't a problem, but the slaughterfish really do seem difficult to defeat. Are there any really good methods of doing it?

Secondly, there's another quest that's about a guy who's gone missing from Bravil because he owed a lot of money to someone, (sorry for being so vague- can't remember the quest name) and so I was told to go to the Orc who has apparently 'taken care of him'. To get the guy back, you need to retrieve something for the Orc, and to do so, you have to get the boat in the Bravil dock and go to the island which has a little fort on it. So, I do that, but when I try to open the main gate of the fort, it keeps telling me that 'this gate is opened elsewhere'. I've searched around, and there don't seem to be any other obvious entrances. What should I do?

re: A Few Quick Questions

The switch to the fort is like a turning wheel, located on a ruined wall I think around to the right hand side of the gate.

As for slaugterfish... they are easy... well you could try bringing them to shore and pushing them out of the water... if they leave water, they just jump around and can not attack! Else wise take a weapon or a strong touch spell and then they should go down... Might be an idea to have something to cure diseases as well, as some slaugtherfish carry.... nasty ones...

re: A Few Quick Questions

Oooh, okay, I'll have a look for that turning wheel thing.

Okay, I'll give that a go! Thanks for helping out!

And here's another question, concerning the quest when you have to go and kill a witch or something, because a woman at the Roxey Inn tells you all about how this witch has been inhabiting the cave near by, so she wants you to kill it. I go into the cave, kill a spellcaster, then when I try to go through the door, it's a hard lock so I'm not able to open it. It says that you can either open it with a lockpick or the key, but I'm not sure where the key is.

Oh, and I did the stuff at Fort Grief, got the 'real' key from the Orc, but now when I want to go back out of the place, it's saying the same 'this gate is opened elsewhere' thing, yet this time I really, really can't find the turning thing to make the gate open.

Fort Grief.
Facing the door that you are trying to get out ... step back a few yards ... a tiny room/alcove to your right there is a big wheel-turning thing in a big square block in the floor of the center of the room/alcove ... it will tell you to turn to open.

If that's the one we are talking about.

re: A Few Quick Questions

and for that hard lock: try to look on that spellcasters body, see if it has a key

otherwise go to the door open the console (with the ~ key) and click on the door, so it is selected and type in unlock

it should unlock the door

also what level are you?
at level 10 or higher you can get an unbreakable lockpick

Sitruc- okay, I'll give that a go! Thanks!

Tyhon- I can't type stuff; I play Oblivion on the PS3. But I am curious about that unbreakable lockpick- my character's now level 15. Where can I get this lockpick?

It is the Nocturnal Daedric Shrine quest. It is located to the northeast of Leyawiin. Take the eastern road out of Leyawiin and follow it when it turns north. The shrine will be off to the right side.

The prize for completing this quest is the Skeleton Key which never breaks!

re: A Few Quick Questions

Wow, thanks guys! Just what I need.

I still can't seem to get out of Fort Grief. I do as you said, Sitruc- face the gate, walk backwards, and I look to my right but all I see is a curved brick wall. There don't seem to be any alcoves or anything.

EDIT- Don't worry, I found the lever.

Okay, here's another question- what's the highest level your character can get to?
