To compare family guy to the simpsons is like comparing a old horror flick and a new one....family guy is the 2007 version of the simpsons (despite them startin their seasons back up) now i admit that the simpsons have been on for ever and i love the show to death...but the comedy on the simpsons just isn't up to date like family guy is...alot of times the simpsons would refer to something that happened over ten years ago while family guy is addressing issues that we are still facing and adds humor to it...so if i had to pick i would pick family guy all day...simpsons was then and family guy is now:D
