I'm a bit confused on how the alignment thing works. How do you check what your alignment is, and how does that correlate to how good/evil you are?

I ask because I've been playing through Fable trying to be evil, but my character shows no signs of being extremely evil. I was wondering if it had to do with the fact that I kill hobbes from time to time and get good points for that. Could that effect things?

During gameplay choose Select and then Statistics and you will see a bar that looks like this:

You don't have to be 100% good or evil for the halo and butterflies/horns and flies to show up. Just mostly good or evil.

You could use the deadpan emoticon - - for neutral, rkrocks.

That's strange because I looked at my alignment and it looked something like this:

==========(evil)
It doesn't appear filled up all the way to the left but it is pretty close.

On a side note, is there any way to work off fat that you gain during the game (running around a lot maybe?)

You'll lose weight after running around for a couple of hours. That's the only way to lose it. To avoid gaining weight, just don't eat when you don't need it for health.
