I have played through the game 2 full times, one with a bad guy and one with a good guy. I never played the Hobbe Cave rescue quest. From common knowledge, I know that Nymphs are fairy-like things, but I've never battled one in the game.

Look at screenshot 9 in the Fable Neoseeker Screenshots. There are 3 Nymphs. Are there different kinds? Can you summon them? I understand that they fly, and the AI of an archery bandit just might be able to kill one, has anyone ever tried?

Please give me the 411 on this. Where can you find them? What are they like?

There are different kinds yes. The forest nymphs and then blue ice like nymphs. We dont know if you summmon them, they are in those flying orbs, you can fight them in dark wood and great wood. No one really knoes if they can be summoned.

There are three types of Nymphs - Wood Nymphs, Water Nymphs, and Succubus Nymphs.

Wood Nymphs can occasionally be found in Greatwood Entrance, usually closer to the Lookout Point gate. They can summon scorpions and can throw thorny vines at you from the air.

Water Nymphs can be found occasionally between the two bridges in Greatwood Lake. There are also two (every time except on quests) in the Darkwood Weir region. Water nymphs summon Hobbes and throw ice at you from the air. The Nymph in the Hobbe Cave Quest is a Water Nymph.

Succubus nymphs can be found occasionally in Witchwood Lake, near the bridge to the Arena Entrance. There is also one in the Cliffside Path region during the Bargate Prison quest, at the southern end of the map. Succubus Nymphs summon the Undead and throw thorny vines at you.

Nymphs are usually invisible when you first come upon them and flit around your person. They give themselves away by their childlike giggling. Eventually they'll hold still and reveal themselves, but only for a moment before they start flitting again, this time in a protective ball. It's generally in this form that they'll throw their vines or ice at you. When she summons whatever her particular creature is, she'll go out of her protective ball and land on the ground for a couple seconds. Then it's back in the air and back in the protective ball.

So, my personal strategy goes as such: when she's still invisible, get out your bow, draw tight the string, and try to target her. Should it go right, you'll lock on and your view will be swung around (because of her flitting). When she finally reveals herself, let it go. Depending on your bow, this may kill her. If it doesn't, wait until you can get in a shot while she's summoning.

Nymphs are fairly recognizable on the map, as their enemy dot keeps weaving quickly around.

I don't usually have to kill them with my bow. When they are on the ground I run over and hit them with Enflame. It kills them and the scorpions or something if they manage to summon them.

A good way to rack up a good combat multiplier is by using Lightning with the Darkwood Weir nymphs, since there are two of them. Mine usually gets into the 20s.

Oops... don't want this to be a completely spam post. Nymphs cannot be used for the summon spell. That technically answers an old question which i don't believe was answered. I spent lots of time testing out the summon spell back when i played this a lot more often.

I met a nymph once in Great Wood Entrance and I fell in love her she was hot! I tried flirt with her but she kept giggling and flew away from me, Then she landed and used some sort of magic power to creat a army of scorpians! "SCORPIANS!!!" I screamed. I tried to keep the scorpians in a good mood by enertaining them with a cossack dance, the scorpions didn't like cossack dances so they all started biting in the butt OW!!. Then the nymph used another some sort magic spell that sent this random thorn plant crashing right into my position witch hit me and killed me while scorpians died with me because it hit them too. BOO! HOO! HOO! She killed me!
