Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

I use a Wi-Fi USB connector for playing on Wi-Fi. It's not compatible with Vista, and my computer is Vista, so I recently built an XP computer (because it's only compatible with XP), yet it still doesn't work. It's not the Wi-Fi because I've recently used it at my friend's house, and it works.

I can 'connect' to the computer, but there are 2 error codes that come up: 51103 and 51099. I have tried literally everything to fix it up, but still nothing. The error codes come at random, sometimes it's either one. Would anyone happen to know what to do? I would be deeply appreciated if anyone could help.

Edit: Oh, and a few things I forgot to mention...
1) I notice it's been happening since I bought a new DS. For nearly 4 years I've been using a Phat DS, until a few months ago I got a DS Lite. That was when I noticed it never worked, but I don't think that matters because just a couple of weeks ago I could play perfectly fine at my friend's house with the DS Lite.
2) I am still using the DS Lite, no DSi or Phat.

re: Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

With a bit of tampering it can be used on Vista.
    Mine is.

re: Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

Really?

Do you know what you need to do?

And you use the USB Connecter, not a wireless router?

re: Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

    Yeah I use the adaptor.
I'm not so good at explaining so here's a walkthrough thing, just scroll a bit down the page.
However you can also download the vista software from here

However it will not work unless you plug in the adaptor before you turn on your PC.

re: Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

Thank you very much man, over time I will tell you how those links work out.

Again, thank you very much for helping out.A

Edit?: Just before the installation is finished, a pop-up appears saying "Internet Connection Sharing error.(6)"

Any idea what to do to fix that problem up?

    That also happened to me.
I have no idea how to fix it, it just went away itself.
    Which method did you use?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that, but for a higher chance in answering your question, I'm guessing how I did it: Exactly what you and that link you gave me said.

re: Help with connecting to Wi-Fi

With XP, I'm assuming you have to install it, so....
