My main question is, should i invest the time and money, (around 11 weeks or so) to buy a Nintendo DSi to replace my DS lite? My big brother uses my ds lite to learn spanish, so i'm considering to buy a DSi and give it to him... Worth it?

That seems to be a good idea, might as well buy the DSi since your brother's using your Lite.
But make sure he's gonna use it for a while, that way you don't spend unnecessary money.

If you are getting a new DS anyway, then go for the DSi. It will only cost a little bit more than the Lite, but you will get way more bang for your buck.
