this game and new super mario bros are both 30$ ( I think) at gamestop and I am going to the beach in a few days and its a 12 hour ride to myrtle beach. I want a game that will last long, has action, and multiplayer. well, new super mario bros is 7 hours long storyline wise, but has intense fun multiplayer so I can play my bro in the car trip. I want the game to last me until we go to the beach which means it needs lengthy storyline. (and trust me, I can blow through a 20 hour long game in less than 2 days.) super mario 64 ds lasts a longer time and it has tons of unlockable secrets that will last me longer, but I don't know if it has fun, intense, multiplayer that will last me a few hours in a car trip.

I have been craving a mario game for a while and I just can't seem to find one with long storyline and replay value, with intense, lengthly multiplayer. Please help!

I also can't buy it right before the beach since we are going to be busy so I need to buy it 3 days before.

most of the time in the car ride we will be asleep (besides my dad/mom who will be taking turns driving and sleeping.) we leave around 1-3 in the AM hours and we start waking up at 7:00 ( at least thats the case with my parents and brother) I usually never fall asleep (How do you sleep in a car, its uncomfy!) so I play video games or watch out the window until everyone else wakes up which is when I play multiplayer with my brother.

Sorry tjhis was so lengthy but I need quick answers before we go to buy my game.

I would say SM64DS,because:
It lasts longer
It's a remake
It has multiplayer mode(not mini-games,but both can play as yoshi and take caps of each character)
It will have you hooked forever to find out where is Waluigi

Trust me,it's better.

Super mario 64 ds because
It will make you busy trying to find Waluigi and the glowing rabbits
Multiplayer that let's you be yoshi,Mario,Luigi,Wario and if the ledgends are true you might be able to get Waluigi
It takes a long time to beat the game.
You can make up your own storys using it with the characters,etc
You can touch the mario/yoshi head and be able to draw your own picture
And it's a remake.

And in multiplayer, yes, it's a race to see who can get the most of 5 stars. There are 4 courses. Everybody's Yoshi, but there are caps that change you into Mario, Luigi, or Wario. It's 30 seconds of fun!

Seriously?! only 30 seconds? lolz that stinks. I'll still get it unless I happen to see a game at the same price or lower that has good multiplayer, action, and long storyline. My mom is coming back from her morning workout at the gym in a few minutes and we might go this afternoon after lunch. I'll tell you how things worked out after I get it.

Well, it's only 5 stars. After they're all gotten, you fight for them. You hit someone with a star and they lose it. Then you try to get that star.

If it's a tie, it's decided by coins. There are like 10 coins in there too, it's a good idea to grab a couple. It's not necissary, it's just incase it's a tie.

Well my parents said we can't get the game today, I'm really bored but I will pull through until tommorrow when we might (hopefully) get it. I have seriously watched every walkthrough review, and gameplay video for this game already, my excitement rising by the minute.
