PLEASE HELP: dragon warrior/load game?

I just got the game from my brother(he never played it) and was wondering if I can load my game.
everytime I start mine I have to begin from the very starting point. I don't know what to do and it happens everytime. Please help. The menu says "New Game, Delete Medals, Trade, or Check Medals." I usually get pretty far and then I die and start over again.
Its probably something very simple, but I am really clueless to it. So if anyone can, please tell me what it is i am doing wrong.

There should be a "Load game" option. Have you ever saved? Also if you die you should come back with 1 guy alive, everyone else dead, and half your gold, not game over.

re: PLEASE HELP: dragon warrior/load game?

Its probably because the game battery is dead. Each gba and nes game has a battery in it they only last a few years thats why cds are better.

That's totaly unfair!

Is there anything that can be done to revive the game battery?

re: PLEASE HELP: dragon warrior/load game?

Well if you just bought it second hand you should be able to still return it and get your money back. Also, the thing that haseeb said about batteries in the game is false. I have SNES and Gameboy cartridges that are 18+ years old and they still work fine. Chances are you either didn't save or your cartridge has some corrupt data. Just try to return from where ever you got it.

re: PLEASE HELP: dragon warrior/load game?

OK, so I searched all over the net to find someone who could tell me how to fix this...

(I even found a "Dead Battery Society" !!!!)

And I was just giving up (because I thought it would be too hard and expensive to fix it..., when I found this:

http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16650&goto=nextoldest

Yeah I thought that too!!!!: “Master Kirby rules!”

I talked to my father so he could help me with the Soldering iron thing, but when we opened the game, he said:
"Fear no more! The soldering iron will not be necessary, my beloved daughter!"

And he just slid the batter, and it came off!

SO GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!!
I still have to buy a new battery, to be sure this will work, but our DRAGON WARRIOR III game, has a battery very easy to remove and to replace!

If it is really a battery problem, then it will certainly work with a new one!
(that I will brought tomorrow - just ‘cos today is holiday...)

Good luck everyone! =D

"Just try to return from where ever you got it."

Jayce Izzacks, I could never return this game... I only have "Disney's Tarzan" game...
which is a platform game... you're in for a running, jumping, climbing, tree-surfing, vine-swinging...

Now you understand my misery!!!

And even if I was unable to save the game, I was so happy just talking to that awesome guy's voice in the beginning of the game!!! It is damn fascinating!! =D

re: PLEASE HELP: dragon warrior/load game?

BAD NEWS

Ok... I replaced the battery but it stills doesn't save...

I'm posting in this forum, the possible things that can be done to revive our game battery:
http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15464&highlight=Battery

I wonder if any of you tried to replace the battery by a new one?!
My game can be damaged... that's way it doesn't work with me...

Hope is the last to die!
