Can someone please help me with fatal frame 2 Dir Cut? I just bought the game (used without the manual of course) and can't figure out how to save my game. Played twice for an hour each time and keep having to start over. Thank you.

Red butterfly lamps are save points. first one is on the hill to the left where you find Mayu after the cut scene where butterflies fly around her. The lamp is by a path to a little bridge (not the path to the village)

It's hard to figure out how to save without the booklet. The game doesn't seem to give you any notion that there even is a way to save. lol.

And one more tip;
if a save lamp is turned off while you are around it, it means you are not alone. Also note that the lamp will not turn on in a room until the door you opened to get in is completely shut. I have a friend who freaked out every time she entered a room in fps mode (most lamps can be viewed even before entering the room completely in fps mode) because the lamps were not turned on. she would exit the room, try again, then exit again until I told her about the whole door closing behind you thing.
