changing the assignment of armies

Hi, just got AOM for Macintosh. I've assigned a few armies by right-clicking on the banners in the upper right corner of the screen. But I accidentally caught a few workers in one of the army groups, so I want to take them out. I've been trying everything I can think of, even shift-right-click on the banner and I can't get the workers out of the group. It seems that I can add units to the group, but I can't remove them or rearrange members between army groups. What am I missing?

in the box on the bottom center right that list your unit groups, ctrl-left click on the villager group

re: changing the assignment of armies

Thanks for your reply. That didn't work unfortunately. I tried "apple"-left-click and it temporarily removes the unit from the group, but next time I press the group number to select the group, that unit is back in it.

I was wondering if I needed a patch, so I pulled up the game to report the version number. The "About AOM" screen says the game is "version <blank>", and the product id is also blank. WTH? I bought the game from Macsoft, so it should be legit. Is this normal or did I somehow get an illegal copy?

Anyway, back to the original question: how about simply deleting the group? Is there a way to do that, short of killing all the units in it?

To remove a unit from a control group, highlight them and press ctrl+0, as though you were adding them to control group 0.

About the CD key thing, an easy way to check if your copy is legal is to try and play online. If you can do it, your game is fine, if you can't, it's not fine.
