I was browsing neo and saw an ad for Ghost Online. Something about the ad was bugging me though. I swore the eye type was Male #6 from maple story. I have it on two of my characters. A quick google search made me laugh.  How is that not ripping off maple in some way?

Well, obviously Ghost Online is a failing knock-off of Maple Story, but this is really funny. I laughed at the Assaulter-looking thing. No, actually, best part was the Meba look-alike, and the fact that they completely hijacked Assassins from Maple Story. -------------------

It does kinda. The graphics aren't great at all. A bit past the GBA though, DS would do it. I just saw the ad again. It always shows up on my neohome, makes me chuckle. Finding my own transmission in the storm ------------------- | |

I would laugh a bit more if it overtook maple in popularity and nexon sued. Just remember that there are A LOT of games similar to Maplestory. Maplestory isn't the first of it's style, and it definitely isn't the last. I'm not too surprised that there's a rip off

I'm just surprised at the amount of stolen content. When you make a game you at least make it different than whatever you're basing it off right? Or have I completely lost touch with reality again? And they have god mode so all attacks pass right through them. So I quit. I came back about a month later to see how it turned out.. And the hacker problem wasn't solved. >_> Though I noticed just about everyone quit in that time. I wonder why.  And that's my experience with the greatest shiethole of online gaming. | |
