re: Gameguard/Tech Help Thread

You deleted some DLL files in the MS folder. If you play GMS, you can download the dll files for Ver. 053 here (uploaded by me) and put it in the MapleStory folder (do not overwrite existing).

re: Gameguard/Tech Help Thread

Did some googling and error code -2147221000 is related to your video card drivers. Click Start > Run > and type dxdiag, click the Display tab and the name of your video card should be there. Check manufacturer's website of the device for the latest drivers. If you need help with this I'm right here.

re: Gameguard/Tech Help Thread

i'm running windows vista, Ive done basically everything that i could find to do in order to fix my problem with no avail, simply put when GG first pops up then goes away after verifying instead of maple story booting up my laptop resets, it happens to me on other GG games as well, but non GG enabled games run fine, any idea what might be causing this?
Ive checked my drivers, switched the compatibility mode to XP, gone through all the deleting of the folders, cleaned out my registry on any left over GG stuff i could find, re downloaded the game, shut down my firewall and any other defense software running, contacted customer support from both camps(MS & GG) with no workable advice..GG used to work for me when i had played a different game, oneday though i tried to play said game and my pc rebooted, i figured the game was messed up so i removed it and it was a big file and didnt feel like downloading it again, wasnt till MS had the same problem that i realized it was GG doing it, though ive removed it and re installed it to no avail

re: Gameguard/Tech Help Thread

GG is detecting some program that it considers is a hack. I don't know any other problem that could cause GG to reboot your computer besides a hack (gg forcefully gives a blue screen and restarts)
