Iron Giant (spoilers) |
|
The most powerful enemy in the game, and probably the most annoying. Max level barely cuts it for this boss, and most players can't stand ten turns against it.
So what do you think of the Iron Giant? Was it a good idea to make it wi-fi exclusive? Should it have been slightly easier to beat? Is it even worth beating? Discuss!

Is'nt he the final boss? And if he is than of course he's hard ,I mean the game would be too easy if he was easy.

He's not the final boss. He's an optional boss for those perfectionist-RPG-maniacs
Like the name suggests, he's a giant. He's HUGE, lol. What disappoints me though, you get nothing more than a Metal Card when you beat him... -------------------

If I had to guess, it might be a freebe accersory for the master smith, or maybe just something useless to symbolise your win.
In any case, what really bugs me is the fact that it can attack four times in one turn. I mean, the cerebrus was tough enough attacking three times, but four? And with an uber-attack power like that? I mean, I guess if I had some spare time, I could probably max out some onion knights, but it just seems too simple. I mean, the onion knights seriously reduce the damage if you have all the equipment on. The sword, sheild, helm, armor, and gauntlets give an attack of 156 and a defense of 180, not to mention considerable magic defense. The fact that they can use magic to support themselves too (ie protect/cure-a-aga-aja) makes it all seem too easy.

But if teh game was to easy, it wouldn't be any fun. So that's why I go for teh extras after the main storyline and stuff.
Actually IMHO, Cerberus was a pushover, a pint-sized puppy with 3 heads. I played around for a couple of turns, then killed it without mercy.

this is how its done..
4 onion knights! lvl 90+! equiped with onion armour! onion helm, onion gauntlet, onion body and two onion shields! i know it sounds crazy but u need the defense. then u teach all the onion knights these spells... bio, curaja, flare. those are the only spells u will need. use flare and do tons of damage. use bio when u run out of mp for flare. and if u need to use curaja, go for it. should only take like ten turns. with the mega awesome defense, meteo should do 0-500 damage. physical attacks no more than 1000. so yeah the two sheilds and only attack with magic cuz w/ two shields ur atk is 0...

re: Iron Giant (spoilers) |
quote SamusX10Very no. I'm one of the RPG perfectionists who must open every chest, reach level 99 and beat all the insanely difficult bosses. However, since i don't have wi-fi, i feel punished for not having it because the iron giant, the only truely challenging boss in the game was decided to be made wi-fi exclusive, as well as the cave it's in. Because of this i didn't bother buying FF4, since i didn't have enough faith in them after this to belive they wouldn't make zeromus EG wifi exclusive (I have FF4 on GBA. No way am i sacrificing functionality for graphics) ------------------- ![]()
