Need Selkie Help! |
|
I'm almost finished with the original campaign and have a level 29 Clavat on Multiplay. I just started a Selkie on Multiplay and managed to get through the first dungeon with some difficulty. I am now on the second dungeon "Old Town" and just can't solo that boss, on Clavat I can easily kill him with no trouble, but on Selkie it's the most time consuming mess I've ever seen. My bow attacks will hit between 6-10 and seeing as how slow the attack rate is of a bow it just takes too long.
Is there something I missed on using a Selkie? I use it's tribe ability whenever I can and use charge attacks when I have enough time to charge them. My current set up is Seraphe lv. 7 Selkie -Green Hat -Green Clothes -Light Bow Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Aren't Selkies supposed to be slow hard hitters from a distance? Also are there any guides online about what armor and weapons are in the game and where to get them? I am still really confused about how and where all that stuff pops up in the game. Thank you!!

No there are no guides on armor/weapons,etc. However with any class vsing the boss in old town all you have to do is freeze and then jump on top of it.
Thus you start stomping it. When the ice defrosts the boss will flip over showing off his crystal where your stomp will now continuously do 50 dmg or so. When you think he may knock you freeze him but not straight after as the boss defrosts he gets spell immunity after a sec or two. Rinse and Repeat and he should be finished in no time. Actually when he's flipped over you can freeze him then and yeah he'll keep tumbling over. Also levelling up above the recommended level would be good too. As far as I recall, the boss has a poor variety of attacks consisting of a beam, a slam and a fire/fira magic-thingy spell whatever its called
I find that the easiest way to beat him is to stay kinda to the side of him until he starts to use magic. What then to do is use a fire magicite and cast it when your ring is on top of his. This should send it back to him (unless he does it first, though this rarely happens), causing extra damage AND for him to flip over, allowing you to happily stomp on his crystal until he dies Hope this helps! Oh, and PS - the magic could be a thunder one or a blizzard, but I'm pretty sure it is fire ------------------- I love cheese crackers But not you

I used Blizzard on that boss and began attacking from there. When he flips over, you have to jump up on his chest and stomp on the crystal. I'm assuming you've added gems to your armor and weapons? Leveling up as much as you can would be nice, though if you have a pattern of icing him after he's done his little rage, then stomping his crystal, you shouldn't need to.

Ok.First off,thunder works best.Second you're not too low.I was that level.(46 now)Third,don't use tribe ability.Use the charge attack.It's waaaaay better. 4 : It's a fira magicite. 5 : Why am I counting?

I went with jumping on a ledge for protection against the beam, then I used magic on it to get it to flip on it's back, and I stomped on his crystal when he does flip over. I beat it on my first try. 空 The Sky Clown -------------------
