At this point that could not happen. The winner of the SEC will face either OU/Texas/USC. Personally, I would rather watch Texas vs Florida over USC vs Florida or Texas vs Bama over USC vs Bama. For some reason I cannot force myself to watch a USC game. Probably because USC killed us in the National Championship in 2004.

I'd like to see USC vs Florida. In my opinion, they're the two best teams in the country right now. I still stand by what I said before in a previous post... The Big XII teams have no defense.

As for Texas Tech, this isn't definite but they're likely headed to the Cotton Bowl. Also reading that Harrell had surgery to repair 2 fingers on his non-throwing hand that had a total of 9 breaks...yowza. Apparently it happened during the Baylor game. He won't miss Tech's bowl.

In my opinion a team cannot be ranked directly behind a team they beat.

For example, after Pitt beat USF, USF was ranked 15, Pitt was ranked 16. In my opinion, since Pitt had beaten USF, Pitt should've been ranked 15, USF 16.

A team that has to face another team with both a good offense and defense? That's probably why those three Big XII teams all ended up beating each other. Their only defense was their own luck... If you allow a team to score on every possession, then the only way you can win is by doing the same thing, plus more. The "more" is just them hoping that the other team messes up.

When you play against teams with no defense, it's not all that hard to score on every possession. The second you play against a team that actually does have a defense, you're in trouble.

I think there's a quote that says something like "Offense wins games, but defense wins championships".

So? Nick Saban said himself that he doesn't like teams that run the score up. Notice how in the Alabama-Auburn game Saban pulled the starters in the 4th quarter yet Florida only pulled a few of their starters against FSU?

Well, if youre playing a team like Florida, you have to run the score up. Or else you might as well not even play.

Yeah, you would think. But see nobody expects Florida's D to be good, the KNOW it will be good. There is zero doubt. A team with a Top 5 (Not my opinion, fact) Offense AND a Top 5 Defense (same thing) should have no problem winning the National Championship. Because most good teams that make it only have one or the other.
