I am still partial to Sugar Shane Mosley. I just think he has the sportsmanship to go along with his talents. I think Roy is just a little too cocky. But as far as a boxer goes. Roy is pretty good! Will have to debate with myself on this one.

In the words of Kid Rock "It aint cocky if you can back it up" I say if anyone who can box as good as Roy Jones can they have every right to be cocky. I've been folowing his carrer ever since the olympics (he really got screwed over) and yes this guy is the best boxer today in every weight class in my opinion.

Roy Jones Jr. is my favorite fighter apart from Fernando Vargas and Mike Tyson. Did you see the beating he gave Kelly?

I seen that beating he gave kelly. Roy Jones jr father messed up bad when he was younger given him cheap fight's with mid-card fighters and finally when jones dumped him it was to late for him to fight the good fighters because they have either drop weight or want they ask for half the money.

He's the best fighter out there. I believe Bernard Hopkins is not good enough to beat Roy.

quote Kyo DaikunYeah Roy Jones cant rap period, he had me rollin when I saw his video. "Yall musta forgot!" He was talkin about everybody he ever knocked out. Roy Jones is my favorite ra...I mean boxer of all time, I liked him when nobody knew about him. But I like the way he could back up everything he says. Benard Hoppkins cant even talk right and he wants to see Roy? Oh no, before the Roy Jones fight he said "Who I is?" Thats why hes gonna get knocked out by Roy. ------------------- Buba dont discriminate... | |

Kyo I bet you hated it when Antonio Berrerra beat ya man Prince Nasim. But anyway my man Orion was right about what his Roy's dad did. But Roy Jones just has that Raw quickness few boxers have. I think the closest comparison maybe Zab Judah or Sugar Shane. I am hearing all this talk about Bernard Hopkins vs. Roy Jones. Bernard is good, but he is one of those guys that will sit and take every punch you throw at him. When he went up aginst Tito, all Hopkins did was sit in south paw and took ever shot Tito threw at him. Until Bernard saw Tito's left open up and delivered a beragge of punches to his whole left side. That won't never happen to Roy Jones. Yes I know what you are thinking Roy leaves his inside open somtimes, but he is too quick and powerful to let Hopkins deliver a direct punch like he did to Tito. Not only that with Roy being in a bigger weight class, he has a lot of stamina with those quick releases. Hopkins would just be a standing target for him to throw at. Even if he didn't knock Hopkins out. He would still win because he would land 60% more punches than Bernard would. I just wouldn't see this match as a good competitive contest. Maybe I am wrong, and Hopkins has just been hiding away his his arsernal for all these years. But I am looking foward to Vargas vs. De La Hoya, I think the winner of this bout should move up the weight class. Because if one beats the other then they have accomplished all they can in that class. Plus it gives De La Hoya another chance to get some revenge on Tito for that pull away win.

Yo I agree with you hollywood bernard hopkins is alright, i fought tito how you are suppose to fight a fight like tito, Smart and he won. Now as for him fight Roy and beating him i don't see it, roy I think would punish him for 10 Rounds or knock him out.

I want see that fight between Vargas and Oscar DeLaHoya. Roy Jones is getting old though. That's probably the only thing that isn't going for him. I didn't think his song was all that bad. I think Hoya should've won the fight vs Tito Trinidad. Oscar was winning every round. Oh well, I can't wait for a rematch. Tito didn't know what hit 'em when he fought Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins totally controlled the whole fight that time.

Who cares if you friends talk about either of them. They are still the top boxers in their divisions. And Roy is not old, he is in his 30's. Boxers can last up in their early 40's at least. And if you are George Forman or Larry Holmes, then you can last untill your fifty. You guys act like he is over the hill, he is still one of the quickest, and powerfull boxers of our time. Plus he still has that dominating control in a match. He was overrated early in his carrer, but he is still proving that he still has it. De La Hoya has been quiet as far as boxing, but tell me one fight that doubts De La Hoya. Nobody! Period! Vargas will figure that out real soon. And by the way Hopkins was voted boxer of the year.

El Rey facts are facts. I don't need to pm you on that. It doesn't matter if De La Hoya seems to be different or not. His record doesn't prove that, and when it comes down to it that is all that matters. Your friend have thier opinions about De La Hoya, and that is fine. But opinions are simply opinions, facts are facts. The facts prove you and your friend wrong. The Roy Jones being old part, was just not right at all. Boxers can go up until their 40's, and ther have been world champs way older than him. So there is no point to what you said. And Buba Jr. I read that the associated press named him boxer of the year. It was mostly because of the upset win over tito. I may be wrong on that, but I rember reading that at sometime or another. Oh well! I will get at yall later.
