re: Skateboarding III

Spin your upper body in a 180 then pull your legs back around so you'll be doing a 180 and 360 instead of a 360 for both legs and upper body

it doesnt have to be a fakie ollie pivot, most people do the 180 for a half cab in the air, or in the air 90 and pivot the rest of the way. i can do regular 360's, but with the pivot. just 180 then nose pivot another 180.

Yeah, its best not to give up, and keep trying.
its not that you cant do it, its just how your putting your feet and how your imagining how to do it.

re: Skateboarding III

Hey guys! Come to join all you skaters.
I just noticed this thread in someone's sig.
A few tricks I can do are heelflip, 180, half-cab, pop shove-it and many more.

Can anyone help me? I'm trying three things.
Kickflip, jumping down a long 5-set and doing a 180 indy up a 4 foot quarterpipe

And I can't go out to skate neither, it's winter, it's wet, I got school and it's freezing!
I've put this thread in my sig, too.

re: Skateboarding III

With the 5 set, try getting as much speed as possible, eg: aggro kick

re: Skateboarding III

5 set actually, you need mental thoughts and the balls to actually try and do it.
if you chiccen out at the last second, dont be surprised if you bail, or even worst fall *bleep*ed and break something.
anyways, when you land, make sure to bend your knees as low as you feel confortable.

kickflip?
check abck into the thread i think i helped someone out with this.

as for me, ive lost my varials, let alone my double varials.
cause of my foot placement of my tre flips.

re: Skateboarding III

Hey guys, can anybody help me with my grinds?
I dont mean like, tell me how to do them, i guess its more of a confidence thing, but anyways.
Whenever i come up to do a grind, i get kinda scared and automatically shoot my legs out in front of me and just kick my deck out at the rail, so i either only end up having one foot on it and its way ahead of me, or i just fall backwards (thats on my boardslides and stuff).
And when i go up to do a 50-50 on a box, i can perfectly ollie it, but when i try to grind i again automatically shoot the board out, and since its on an angle it ends up like a 1 leg crooked or something..
The one time i actually did manage to get on the box rail, my board shot out from under me right away and i feel hard on my ass..and it hurt like hell, so i guess you can factor a bit of paranoia in there as well.
So do you guys have any tips to overcome this, i know its just mostly a confidence thing that i gotta do on my own, but any help would be appreciated.
And yeah all im currently trying to learn is boardslides a nd 50-50s.

re: Skateboarding III

for boardslides you just have to stay on top of the board, some have their knees bent a little, some dont, but you need speed in order to move.
to get into the slide you wannt do a 90 degree i80 then slide off.
there reason it shoots out is cause your not staying or like establishing a strong stomp on the rail when you grind, instead you know youre not gonna make it so i guess it shoots out.
ill explain later, its late, and i just came to check on stuff
-_-
