Just whatever you do, don't chicken out at the last minute. You will fall, and it will hurt [trust me, I did that and >.<].
Try going from small rails to big ones, and make sure your ollie is trained and is high enough. As for the shooting, it's because your nervous. Try thinking "I can do this". For the 50-50, just try staying balanced. Don't think about bailing. Damn, I got beaten by JetLibed! Oh well. Hope I helped. -------------------

Aha, mhm sometimes i dont like this acc, cause of the join date, but really im a 05'er.
on my other acc that i usually post here which was xxcloudstrifexx, eh i got bored of it, and i didnt like it anymore . anyways, what kriken said about the ollies, make sure you can ollie and be able to stomp it perfect or atleast get it nice just so you can turn and slide, when you slide DO NOT LEAN TOO BACK OR FORWARD, or you will end up falling. thats the main thing there. -------------------

Yeah, my ollie is 2.82 m long, and 0.98 m high [used something to tell that].
Anyway, I'm gonna go try a long gap. Maybe try impossible. -------------------

Yeah speaking of ollies..mine suck, i literally dont go a foot of the ground, or if i do, its no higher than that..
No matter how hard i pop, how much i slide my foot up, and bring my back foot up, theres still no improvement. Any tips? Also whenever i go off a curb or a ramp, for some reason i never get any pop, i dont know wether its that im uncofident or the whole grravity/balance thing is something im not really used to... so yeah again any tips? Yeah i suck -------------------

re: Skateboarding III |

so i went to a skate park on friday, and normally i don't like going to skate parks cuz i like to do random things instead of just rails and quater pipes, and i decided to do the half pipe that was there and i was able to drop in on my second try. after a while of riding up and down the half pipe i was given a suggestion to try to do an ollie on it. with much effort i finally did an ollie on the half pipe. never thought i would be able to do it.

Went to Adrenaline Alley in Corby yesterday and my god I had a good skate! Got a few nice tricks up their step up:
Nollie Heelflip Nollie Double Heelflip Nollie FS 180 Heelflip BS 180 Heelflip Then the icing on the cake was finally landing a Nollie Heelflip down the step up in the opposite direction after about 50 tries, man I was chuffed. ------------------- Love Skateboarding

Hey can anyone help me with my heelflips?
Basically i have everything down, except i cant control where my board goes, so i get the flip and stuff but i either land with the board behind me, or with only the front foot on it. Any help? -------------------

re: Skateboarding III |

bleh since my half cab heels been going down, my reg heelflips suck.
anyways, if they go out, then you have your position wrong. make sure you have your flicking foot near the bolts and like flick straight or slanted but not straight across, hence the board flicking out. when landing, make sure to jump igh, but be careful cause heelsflips are known to get you boned in the ass. good game. so anyone is gonna help me with my nollie flips yet? -------------------

quote marinemanYou've got the flipping right, but concentrate. As soon as you're about to stop it flipping, think "my front foot goes here and my back foot here" then slam down. -------------------

re: Skateboarding III |

Hardest thing about Nollie Kickflips is making sure you don't lean too far in the direction your going, on your nose. I still have trouble with this sometimes and I've been doing them for years, I always have to stop and tell myself to lean back, because if I don't I either don't feel like commiting because I'm going to land Nose Manual and fall off or I do commit and it looks horrible sketchy.
Nothing else I can say really, that's the only useful tip I have to give on the trick. I am going skating today for the first time since Christmas Eve, got a new set up and it's dry outside so I can skate woo! ------------------- Love Skateboarding

re: Skateboarding III |
quote kriken2909Thats kind of the problem though, i cant actually see and catch my board when its flipping. Its more of a fast motion where everything happens at once, and i just blidnly pop, flip, jump, and attempt to land on the board. The reason i cant actually catch it in the air before i land is because it doesnt really do a clean flip, and it goes behind, or to the side of me even as i start flipping. So i guess thats most of the problem, but i might put up a video soon so if someone could help me then.. -------------------

Did a Nollie Triple Heelflip yesterday, smooth aswell, I may be the 1st person to have ever done one because I can't find footage of one being done anywhere lol.
My new Flip deck helped lots in making the board spin fast enough. ------------------- Love Skateboarding
