nice, you must be like older if you can travel.
im 15, i get rides from my brohams or people whenever, and we just find sick skate spots.
currently its raining hard for the past few days, and im in the worst condition to skate. -_-
I'm 16, my friend is 17 though and learnt to drive as soon as he turned 17 (legal age in UK is 17) so we just started going places.

And maaaan I can't remember learning to Ollie, I swear I just always been able to do it lol. I remember it took me a week of an hour or so a day to land my first Kickflip though.

re: Skateboarding III

Hmmm, well the first time i picked up a board when i was like 8-9, it took me weeks to learn to ollie.
And that was on some shitty zellers board or something.
But when i kinda dropped skating, and have only just started again about a month ago, i got my ollies down in about an hour.

quote Lupin3rd
Serious side question:
How long did it take you folks to learn how to ollie?

I spent a good 3 hours on my driveway trying constantly and got no where at all, so I gave up, that was like six years ago but I always did wonder how far off I could have been.
no kidding, it took me like a year. but that was before i really would skate. plus all i had was a wal mart board, and then halfway through some fake kryptonics thing. i would only go out for like an hour a day. and i dont know if i could even roll around yet lol

For some people it takes a long while to learn an ollie, for others it comes to them quickly. i did my ollies in a week or so. all it takes is dedication and practice and look at that you have the trick.

re: Skateboarding III

Fakie Bigspin Inward Heelflips I learnt today, landed 2 of them, with a pivot but still rather smooth.

Did a Inward Heelflip off a small ledge for the first time ever to, also was amused at the fact I Nollie 360 Flipped off it first try (which i haven't done in months) where as it took me like 20 tries to Nollie Kickflip it lol.

re: Skateboarding III

so every now and then a certain thing happens when im skating, unintentional of course, and when i actually try it i can't do it the same way. i can do nollie 360 shovit easily, the weird things is that, recently, it started to flip on me and i almost do nollie 360 flip and when i actually try to do it the trick never comes. i hate when this happens, unintentional tricks, worst thing ever.

re: Skateboarding III

lol, a pogo isnt really a trick, its really easy, but i thought i would just put it anyway

a streetplant is sorta like a boneless.

and thanks, i'm trying to do a kickflip right now, i can flick it fine and i can land with my front foot, but each time as soon as i pop the tail, i take my back foot of, i dunno why

anyway, i havent been skating for long, so i'm not that good, but i hope to get better

peace,
Mieka

How much difference does a good board make?
