I'm looking to get a Wipeout game on the PSP and need some advice.

Pulse seems the obvious choice as it is the most recent, but on evidence of the demo it seems that the tracks are the same as those in Wipeout HD which I also own. Can anyone confirm this? If it's the case, I think I'd prefer to get Pure as it will have track I havn't played yet.
Also, can custom soundtracks be added to Pure as they can in Pulse and HD?

Wipeout HD includes tracks from both Pulse and Pure.

Yep, Wipeout HD is a blend of the two, with some new stuff added. Pure was the first game, Pulse the second. They're both fantastic and I'd get them both one by one. Note that for Pulse you have to pay money for expansion packs. Pure they're free as the store wasn't around then.

Custom soundtracks are on both games, except that on Pure I never quite figured it out.

I've never played pure. But I've played pulse and it's pretty good. And from what I've seen on pure screenshots, pulse has much better graphics. And both games support custom tracks.

Cheers for the help guys. I've gone for Pure first as I've managed to pick it up second-hand for £3. I'll get Pulse once it's come down in price a bit.

Sounds fantastic. Then you can enjoy them both, and since you got it dirt cheap you've got to be happy. Getting Pulse first would ruin Pure.

Me neither. I could create skins, but I couldn't download the ones I created onto my memstick. No biggie though, seeing as my skins were a load of crap.

LOL. Nice. I love the skins in the game, I don't care that much. But I got it to work, I had a red one some guy made.
They aren't that easy to make.

Where can I download the game packs (EU version)? I tried the offical website but the links are dead.

They should be downloadable by infrastructure. They used to be when I first got the game but that was a loooooong time ago.

Do you mean via an in-game feature?
