well, i was looking around here, and then I wanted to know if it was possible to have both a M33 and GEN on a PSP?
i mean, right now I have 5.00M33-6. is it safe to use a GEN CFW on it even though I already have Dark Alex' firmware?

You can't have both you can have one or the other. Gen firmware is honestly identical to M33, they actually ripped the source code out of M33 to make their own and it works just as good if not better, plus there is a 5.50 version. And to answer your question yes you can make the switch without damage, I have done it on multiple psp's. Why anyone would think it would damage their psp anyway I have no idea.

Unless you have a mod chip. If you have one, you could save your PSP (better than Pandora) and boot two CFWs.

It is possible if your firmware is 5.03. If it is under 5.03, just upgrade to 5.03. Anymore and you'll need a Pandora Battery.

Yes you can freely go between firmware types as far as I know.

He means changing between custom firmwares. I'm not sure you can. You used to be able to with that recovery menu option, but now that's dead...

It's possible. If you are on ChickHEN or a CFW. If the firmware you are on is higher than the firmware you want, use Hellcat's Recovery Flasher. Version 1.60 switches you back to 5.00 M33-6, but you need the 5.00 EBOOT.
