This is strange, very strange indeed. I even remember posting here when my first PSP (white fatty) broke. Of course, I snatched a black 2000 ASAP, and for the last two years the old fatty has been in a box under my bed.
However, my bro found it and tried flicking the switch and it came back on and is now working perfectly. I tried taking it apart and everything when it first broke, but this just comepletely baffles me. Has anyone else witnessed a sudden PSP resurrection? ------------------- ![]()

quote Luigi PanacheI couldn't tell you, but it was old... around two years old. I never used custom firmware on it. I actually took apart the console last night to analyse the problem and found that the lock switch kept jamming, meaning it would never turn on. Luckily, it's in mint condition now, and I can trade it on for something of more value. ------------------- ![]()

Thats better than the time my DS(original) shoulder buttons broke and I threw it at my sisters big head. It hit her in the head and then the buttons worked again. Now when things break, I throw them at her. They work too after eveytime, I swear to God.

I think the reason the PSP came back to life was because your brother hit the power switch correctly. It is quite possible for a PSP's power switch to become misaligned.
Factor in maybe a year of corrosion, and the switch might become loose enough to be able to make the proper contacts and send a message to the PSP to power on. However, leave a PSP with battery in for more than a week and the battery will be dead. Did you charge it recently before it came on? ------------------- ![]() Yes.
