From what I have herd (other forums), his OE firmwares will not be carried on. But I am not 100% sure.

And by his security, I am sure he means "I don't want to get sued (or worse)". Seeing as how his re-codings of the official Sony firmwares was illegal.

yeah i just read on another site about psp that the was a line of code directed at dark alex in 3.51 offficial firmware maybe sony threatened him

Sounds like I'll be going back to DevHook for future upgrades. This sucks though, he was a god. But if playing God of War taught me anything, not even they are invincible.

BTW, did 3.50OE ever come out?

No it didn't. He supposedly skipped it and went straight to 3.51 OE, but apparently that is no longer true either.

He was going to go to 3.51, but that killed off. No source is being given out either

Oh.. waaait just a second here..

3.50 downgrading + 3.40OE + TA-82 motherboard + DA leaving = a LOT of people are kinda out of luck, seeing as there's no current way to go back to normal FW on a newer motherboard, and there'll be no new OEs. He was spending a lot of time and effort on those firmware's, and he was adding things that people wanted him to add, so he seems like too nice a guy to just leave the TA-82 users like that. =\

I think someone will probably continue to fiddle with OEs so we can get new ones...he can't be the only guy in the world that knows how to right?

Other than the 3.XX OE custom firmwares, the only other custom firmware is 1.62 IE (I think its called). Its not very popular, but perhaps the developer could move on.

I at least wanted 3.51OE to come out....
