I just kept blasting out BFGs because I had like 30 of them. It doesn't really matter where you shoot it because it hurts him all the time, but it is still best to try to hit him because if it does, WHAM! Big ol' green stuff = uncomfortable.

theres a part before where there is loads of hell knights and u have to use your artifact infact just do your best not using it and then at the boss use then and launch BFG blasts into it
