I've posted up some more English videos HERE. They're mostly just battle videos, so there's nothing overly new, other than Zack's English battle cries
The Sephiroth and Genesis "ad" video is pretty spiffy though.
quote Phantasy
I guess the VAs only put in extra effort when voicing movies. We can probably expect a KH2 Aeris performance from Mena. That's the first thing I thought when I heard Sephiroth's CC voice. Even though they are only short clips, the voice-actors seem to have gotten worse since AC. I can only imagine how Mena will sound. >_> I don't mind Zack's voice, though it doesn't seem to sound as cheery as it did in AC. Here's hoping that's just because of the "serious" tone of the scene. *crosses fingers*

On the 26th of March, the news will be plagued with reports of people being admitted to hospital due to bleeding ears. When asked if they know what caused it, doctors will only be able to say "They all blamed Mena Suvari. The question is, what did she do?"
Neh... I want to bai eet nao. To add a PSP game to my collection... Of three. XD

More English videos!
I ... Am ... So ... Happy! I have no idea if that's Mena Suvari's voice or not, but Aerith has emotions! She actually sounds good! Her lines are awful (what's with the "church in the slums" line?), but the voice is good. The others are pretty good too (though I'm a bit *meh* about Cloud). I'm happy Tseng sounds better than his AC self too. ^^ Love how Zack says "Gongaga". This message was edited by Gothic Girl on Mar 27 2008.

Oh. My. GOD!
That... That CAN'T be Mena Suvari! C-can it? I refuse to believe it! She's actually good.
quote Gothic Girl
Her lines are awful (what's with the "church in the slums" line?) I found issue in that weird little "Hooray!" thing. ... Actually, I recant my previous statement. It quite obviously IS Mena Suvari, because it just sounds wrong.
I shall never tire of Rude's voice. Crispypuff is awesome no matter what he does.
I disagree with you on Cloud's voice. I mean, sure it sounds weird, but if you take into account that he's still quite young, it does suit him.
quote Gothic Girl
Love how Zack says "Gongaga". He sounds funny.
But Mena Suvari gets half a cookie for NOT TOTALLY SUCKING DONKEY BALLS.
(And love the fact that they're actually saying 'Aerith' now.)

Lol, doesn't her voice kinda sound like that fan's voice from that one vid GG posted awhile back?
A pretty solid dub so far.

I'm kicking myself trying to figure out who voices Cissnei (I have grown used to that name now XD), because she sounds so familiar and I just can't think of who it would be... And it makes me want to... I dunno, toss a puppy off a cliff or somthing...

I actually think the English voices for both Zack and Cloud are perfect. I wasn't too happy with Cloud in Kingdom Hearts 2. He was just so monotone, but this one should make up for it.
Zack sounds great too. Not too deep but not too high either.

Zack and Cloud's voice-acting is growing on me. Cloud's is certaily better than his KHII and AC portrayal at least.
Woot for good reviews ...
quoteWhen Square Enix first announced the FFVII spin-offs, many fans had high hopes that they would create games as great as FFVII itself. But after the less-than-impressive Dirge of Cerberus (Japan only) and Before Crisis were released, with mostly negative reviews, the fans were soon disappointed and most wished that Square hadn't touched the classic RPG's story. But it looks like that's all about to change ... With the release of the English Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core coming up next week, many gaming sites have finally got their hands on a copy of the game today. And if the reviews are anything to go by, the game is looking be absolutely stellar! It looks like FFVII fans won't be disappointed ... (go to source for all reviews) quoteGaming Age: Crisis Core stands out as not only a fantastic Final Fantasy title, but one of the best games on the PSP to date. That's saying something in light in the pretty stellar year the system saw in '07, so hopefully you system owners out there will take my word for it and pick this one up. Great action in small bursts, and a fairly level headed storyline that won't leave you scratching your head. Even if your memory of Final Fantasy VII isn't as fond as others, Crisis Core still manages to be a fantastic game worthy of your attention. A-
IGN: Crisis Core is a great PSP game -- no question. It honors Final Fantasy VII's legacy. Even the game's music, while not composed by Nobuo Uematsu, is charming and fits the overall style of the world (though some of Uematsu's pieces do make a return and to absolutely stunning effect). I was sincerely moved by certain portions of the title and I suspect many others will feel the same. I wouldn't dream of spoiling anything for eager players, but I will say that Crisis Core's ending moments are a must see. I'd go so far as to call them brilliant. The power and emotion of the game is heightened by the raw inevitability of Zack's fate, which is fully explored in the original. I really enjoyed my time with this title, despite the gameplay problems, and I think this is yet another fantastic reason to own a PSP. Enjoy it. 8.5/10
RPG Fan: While Crisis Core will not be giving any competition in regards to game of the year, it definitely pushes the envelope as far as visual and aural aesthetics go, displaying graphics and sound the quality which have never before been witnessed in a PSP game. The excellently crafted aesthetics combine with an entertaining and user-friendly gameplay system making it one of the best original PSP games. Hopefully, in the future, other developers will follow Square Enix's example and push the PSP to its technical limits. 82%
1up: It's a game designed to feed on your nostalgic memories of Final Fantasy VII, and in that regard, it never falters. From the faithful 3D reconstruction of Midgar's slums to the fateful standoff in the Mako reactor, Crisis Core does a better job of putting players in FFVII's world than even the original game did. And it manages to be a worthy experience in its own right rather than an empty bit of filler riding on a classic's coattails. It's a flawed, but nevertheless impressive, prelude to one of the most influential games of the past decade. B+
FF7 Citadel: Crisis Core is the title that put Final Fantasy VII back on its feet, and made it soar. It succeeds on so many levels, and could be enjoyed (although slightly less understood) even by gamers who've never played the original game. 9/10 Source

Good, good... This is a sign that Square Enix can make something other than 'shit' Compilation entries.
('Shit', because, you know, I enjoyed AC and DoC... And I can't have an opinion on BC, due to obvious reasons.)
My, my, isn't this a fun little game. (Available on the Square Enix Members Japan site.)
 Zack's Strength Measurement
Click when the materia hits down, and Zack squats.
Click when the materia hits up to make him rise again. (This counts as 1.)
You must complete 25 squats in 30 seconds to win.
Do less than 25, and be forced to look at Sad-Zack as he tries to use the GAME OVER banner to hide his failure.
*NO IMAGE*
Perform 25 squats, and you get a very quick congratulations message (not even 3 seconds, and I doubt 2) before being thrust into a much faster bar where you have to perform another 35 squats in 30 seconds. (Interestingly enough, it's much easier than round 1. Just rapidly click, and you should meet your goal and then some.
Beat 60, and Zack does his little victory dance thing, and you get a free desktop wallpaper for being so awesome. (Or, moreso, you get a free desktop wallpaper for ME being so awesome. My final score was 66, I think, but it didn't give me time to get a screenshot. Curse you, Square Enix...)

Come on, thats low for a FF title. And a game that recreates the feeling of a great FF title, and FF7 title, these scores is bad.
This game should be 9/10 only. Bah, i am going to get it, but those scores don't look to appealing.

Final Blade, aren't you the one who says that people should play the game for themselves and not listen to the reviews? The scores are pretty good to me. I am looking forward to the game
