make sure you steal from her with Mog's Amulet and Thieve gloves.

Then sell the goods at the store or merge 99 Phoenix Downs to materia for massive upgrades.

Darkness isn't really needed for anything except it's HP boost, and the Genji Shield can easily be replaced with the Protect Ring, and the Libra can also be replaced with a basic ATK Up++ [ATK+100]. If you've got a Full Cure, feel free to use that instead of Curaga, as well.

Basically, in order to have any chance at surviving, you need the following:

255 SPR
255 VIT
Protect Ring or Genji Shield
99 Phoenix Downs

The setup above gives the first 3, and the last one is easy to get by going into the mission with Steal equipped. Steal from Minerva, then let her kill you. You'll have 99 Phoenix Downs (98 after you use one).

As for the actual fight, it's basically just guarding her attacks, throwing a Costly Punch in between, healing as neccessary, and using a Phoenix Down when you die (and you will die, on multiple occasions). It's a long fight, but very easy if you're set up properly.</sub>

y would u need libra..get a cooler materia

Libra is so you can see how badly you're doing.

But mostly for the [ATK+100]

u can add +100atk to about any materia...u alredy get libra from genji item...

Actually...I think only the Genji item that has Libra is Genji Helm and he doesn't have one.

I thought that another piece had it...but looking it don't seem to....

wth y would u need libra... it doesnt even show u how much HP she has... all it says is "????????" for HP and MP

oh and be sure to have Endure XD... its a pain in the arse when ur trying to do costly punch and she hits u >.> sooo frigin annoying...

You might want to let her attack first. Block or dodge, THEN hit her.

It might help. But then...it's Minerva, so it might not.

I just beat minerva again finally got there . costly punch all the way. u dont need endure. just timing.

255 vit and spr are required. Use some form of barrier and mbarrier. Costly Punch or Gil Toss is the most common form of attacking her. However, for Gil Toss to be effective you need to have like 60million gil...So yeah. Stick to Costly Punch. Keep raise up the entire fight because "final slash" or whatever that attack is called can catch you off guard if she uses it a couple times in a row. Not to mention it can hit you from farther away than you would think. The battle will get very boring and repetitive.
