Does anyone know where I can get a full set of instructions on the use of this flatbed scanner? Agfa's "instruction manual" is basic to say the least and is totally useless. Everything I have learnt about this scanner I have picked up through trial and error. And just a design point - why is there no on-off switch?

One significant problem I have is the herring bone effect on scans caused I think by film negatives touching the glass. Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Can anyone recommend a decent film scanner (as opposed to flatbed) - not Agfa please as I've had enough of their poor quality stuff!

I also had the same problem with my Snapscan e50. I also had problems with lines on the pictures that I scanned. I can tell you, that your scanner is about to die. I got my scanner for Christmas 2000. It died on me on Christmas 2001. I emailed Agfa on 12/26. They told me of all of the hoops I had to go through because my warranty had lasped by two days. I did everything, but to no avail, they will not extend my warranty. If your scanner is still under warranty, contact Agfa now. I agree with you their products and their service are poor. I am without a scanner and as a retired person I cannot afford to buy another ones. Thanks Agfa for messing up my retirement.
