Now i know we are all crazy about aoe. but all we talk about here is how good it is. So, What are some of the bad things. not many of them. Does anybody have something bad about aoe, or something they wish might be changed in aoe 3?

Well, the movement. when something moves (Ex: A Men at arms attacking, a farmer farming.) they kind of studder. if you look closely, you can see that when swinging a swoard, there is only about three diffrent motion spots that you see. And i really dont find this bad, or even really needed to change. but its the only thing i can think of that comes anywhere close. lol.

This forum doesn't really need a general discussion yet, it doesn't have enough posts per day really to warrant it. Plus seeing as we are working on cutting back on the server this may end up getting deleted. If not, well then meh I just wasted a post.

I agree, it's a bit early, but I'd imagine that a game such as this would increase in populartiy quite quickly, and the forum may very well be big enough to have a GD soon. Who knows as of yet.

Yeah it's early but more warranted here then a completely dead forum that has no chance for activity to have one. Let's keep this a game discussion so it is to not get out of hand.

Are we asking for premission now? Oh that's rich.
Anyway, one thing I would love to see is in this game is a good level difficulty. Parts 1 and 2 definately were a lot harder then many of the other strategy games I have played and would like to see it continue. One of the problems with sequels is they get easier. I would for the only challenge to be online. ------------------- べつに

Why do you think they got eaisier? In my opoinion, it stayed the same or even got harder, because of the so many new things to considder.

He wasn't saying that these games got easier, but in general, most sequels do seem a lot less difficult than their predecessors. I'm always up for a challenge, so the hard difficulties must remain.
(At the moment, the only people who can decide if this thread stays or goes are our section moderators. If we continue to have good, on topic discussion without problems, they'll be less likely to close it down.) ------------------- Didn't I see you when you thought you'd never stand out?

Yeah, I hope the difficulty stays up there, because most RTS games I've played are a walk in the park. Then again there is such thing as too hard, like Warcraft III Frozen Throne on the Hard difficulty setting. I need to practice my RTS skills, because I pretty much suck at them.

Looks like we finally got a profile icon.
![]() As for my RTS skills, I don't think I've even played an RTS in over a year (stupid Halo is too addicting). When I do play though, I'm not the best at offence but I'm really good a defence. ------------------- ![]()

quote ArcaidaYeah on hard it was a pretty good challenge. It really sets you up for a tough time because of the gap between normal and hard is quite large. Also thanks 0Zero0 for understanding my statement. I just found playing the AoE series a lot harder then others. Even with a game like Age of Mythology with the same team was easy to me. AoE was one of the few that gave me a series challenge. ------------------- べつに

It's probly because you've played it so your naturally better at it. Unless you've never played the prequel though.
I'm sure AoE3 will be up to par on difficulty, they will be levels no doubt.
