Zhuge Liang was obviously the best one but he did't wan't to be a ruler, and Liu Chan was quite a fool...

I would personally say Cao Pi was an ok ruler, despite Zhuge Liang living a very long time. Wei was conidred to be at it's Zenith while Cao Pi was the ruler.

yes, I could agree, but I think Cao Pi has never reacher the ability of his father as a leader... Cao Cao always conserved his rank of Prime Minister of the Han, acting in the name of the dynasty... when Cao Pi took over as Emperor, he exposed himself a lot (brave or foolish?) and eventually Wei lost to Jin (mainly for this reason I think)

Actually, I beleive Wei turned to Jin due to the very young emperor at the time. He was no more then a mere youngster, anyone could have outsmarted him. I doubt that was Cao Pi's doing.


At least he didn't tie his shiops together at Chi Bi.

Liu Bei is too weak to be an effective leader. He always mopes around and without people to lean on eg. Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhuge Liang he is totally useless. In fact he is so useless that he gets the great tactician Pang Tong killed.Oh and whats with Liu Chan...He is a disgrace to Shu!!! Lui Bei is my favourite leader but is definately not the best. I think that it is between Cao Cao and Sun Jian.

liu bei definately but he needs to get better officers like zhang he and xu zhu
he also needs to get rid of the weak ones like huang zhong and ma chao

Sleeping Dragon brings up a good point, it is a known fact that Liu Bei was not the best leader and more over people who disagree only play the game and have not studied history at all.

Sun Jian would be the most respected of the two, but I beleive overall Cao Cao was the most succesful leader.

I think Liu Bei was the best leader because he had a good cause and a selection of worthy officers. He let me down when he strayed away from the path of virtue after attacking of revenge for his fallen brother Guan Yu

But the thing is about Liu Bei, that one battle costed his and Zhang Fei's life. Liu Bei wasn't even that succesful either, if it wasn't for Zhuge Liang he wouldn't have even made it as far as he did.

I think all the leaders except sun jian did a fairly good job. I think Cao cao overall was the best though. He started off well and knew strategy was the best way to win, plus his son was a pretty sweet ruler, much better the lui bei's. Even zou ci knew cao cao was better, but he just didn't feel he had the virtue neccisary to rule the land. And the sun family was a bunch of misfits, but it is cool the sun jian and sun ce both got there starts at the age of seventeen.

Cao Cao, because he expanded his power far faster than Liu Bei or Sun Jian. Besides he almost conquered all the China before dying.

this is kinda of the topic but i think with advisors and a slightly bigger army, shu wouldve freaking decimated all other forces Zhuge liang all da way!!!

Definitely, Shu had potential. Zhuge Liang was one hell of a strategist.

Liu Bei was the greatest. He was humane and a "crafty owl" as said by Cao Cao. He inspired the greatest leaders under him "Zhuge Liang, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu" and never aspired for too much.

Cao Cao was a greedy bas****, so he isn't an option. He killed many people for no reason and he was far to ambiotious.

Wu's leader, Sun Quan, was weak. End of story. Sun Ce was great though...
