I'd say Cao Cao was the better leader, because he wouldn;t hesitate for anything. Sun Jian did do pretty good there for awhile... but Sun Ce would have been better picked... and Liu Bei... virtue isn't always the better end man...

The thing is, Cao Cao also had people that followed him. He wouldn't go out and randomly choose someone to execute, he would only execute them for example if they did something wrong in battle when they were designated something else. Or perhaps show signs of rebellion. Cao Cao has just as many people on his fan list as Liu Bei does. Liu Bei also if I recall, lost his temper before and that alone killed a lot of people, while Cao Cao has almost always kept his calm in any situation...

He was a little too passionate lol.. Zhuge Liang even didn't want a few of those people to live, but he eventually had no choice but to take certain into his own hands.

Sun Ce was the best leader Wu ever knew iirc, Quan wasn't even that good of a leader. And Cao Cao may have launched wars on people for revenege, but I'm sure you have gotten into a fight with your parents or other siblings haven't you? It's basically over the same thing, Land-Land, Game-Game. See?

State your explanation why, I kinda don't think Liu Bei was the greatest of them leader-wise...

Those are the reasons Liu Bei shouldn't be a leader. Seriously, letting someone like Lu Bu in and knowing him and one of your sworn brothers aren't the best of friends, means that he is risking his entire army, which he risked Zhang Fei's life when Lu Bu took over.
After awhile, the generousity can be a little too much. I for one, am not gonna give my most precious time to defeat a huge enemy for the sake of my brother's death... he lost his temper, and got himself killed in the proccess as well as Zhang Fei... ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

quote bibbob In the game they were all a bit biased, Cao Cao was not an evil person, and Liu Bei wasn't neccesarily the wimp he was made out to be. Zhang Fei wasn't really a drunk, and was quite smart as well. Inexperienced or not, Zhang Fei did something to make Lu Bu mad and he kicked him out. If Liu Bei was to really hold anyone responsible for that, he should have held Zhang Fei responsible. ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

How did they not make sense? It's nothing bad dude, honestly you have bad comprehension if you can't tell the difference between something like an example or something pointed towards you.

omg, I said something about Zhang Fei, I must be banned for going off-topic for showing an example!!
Seriously, regarding it's about the warlords or just about anything else, an example can be given through all eyes. ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

quote bibbobPlease tell me how it was not given or stated properly, you have yet to give any excuse as to why it was not stated properly. But yeah, Cao Cao was a good leader, and did mourn the loss of Dian Wei. Dian Wei was his bodygaurd, it was his natural duty to take care of Cao Cao and he did so. Cao Cao couldn't really help he was the bait in an assasination now could he? ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

In that view, you could say so, but either way possible none of it was intentional. Stuff happens, the same thing can happen with your gf, you may say something wrong and she gets pissed and breaks up with you, stuff happens, it's just a way to learn from your mistakes.

That sounds like somethign from the novel. But if so, then Cao Cao pretty much intended the death of a lot of people.

lol alright, well that could also be one of Luo Guanzhong's biased reasonings against Cao Cao, but either way it seems unfair from that point of view.

I'd say more of a rivalry then enemies. Until a certain extent however, because Cao Cao help aid Wu into killing Guan Yu.

I would personally say Cao Pi was an ok ruler, despite Zhuge Liang living a very long time. Wei was conidred to be at it's Zenith while Cao Pi was the ruler.

Actually, I beleive Wei turned to Jin due to the very young emperor at the time. He was no more then a mere youngster, anyone could have outsmarted him. I doubt that was Cao Pi's doing.
At least he didn't tie his shiops together at Chi Bi. ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

Sleeping Dragon brings up a good point, it is a known fact that Liu Bei was not the best leader and more over people who disagree only play the game and have not studied history at all.
Sun Jian would be the most respected of the two, but I beleive overall Cao Cao was the most succesful leader. ------------------- ![]() quote Oasis

But the thing is about Liu Bei, that one battle costed his and Zhang Fei's life. Liu Bei wasn't even that succesful either, if it wasn't for Zhuge Liang he wouldn't have even made it as far as he did.

Definitely, Shu had potential. Zhuge Liang was one hell of a strategist.
