k i cant host but ive tried everything. ive programmed my firewall to let 6112 in and out. UMMMM i have a wirespeed modem and dont know if it has a built in firewall, and if it does i dont know how to reset it. any1 wanna take some time to help me?

maybe you have to forward the port you are using couse i wasnt able to host halo until i forwarded that port

i also have a problem with host i set the port i turned of my firewalls and all that. someone said that if u have a router u cant host is taht true?

Yes...You can't host if you have a WIRELESS router.You might be able to host with a wired router but it depends on your firewall settings.

You guys should check similar posts that have been answered previously. Check your router's manufacturer. Usually there's a website made of numbers (for example if your router's a Linksys the website you have to go to is http://192.168.1.1/) that you can go to and configure your router to forward port 6112. Forwarding this only on your firewall won't help. If you do have a Linksys you'll find the option to forward port 6112 by clicking the tab Applications & Gaming.

Umm.... i have a dumb question: How do you forward a port? What is forwarding a port? Thanks a bunch if you answer. I have made numerous maps through hours of slaving in the Triggers module but i can't host them. Again, thanks ahead of time

Damn it this thread is worng i realize now WRONG you need to go into your wireless router from your CPU and open and port for warcraft and do the same in your firewall. It worked for me PM me for more details.

FALSE, you can host with a wireless router, I just did it not 5 minutes ago.
You must allow Warcraft (both) threw your firewalls, you do not need to turn them off, and forward your ports. You may not be able to host simply because your internet may be bad. -------------------  http://timonix.tk/ Onix-The Friendly Company Owned by ME! | |
