i got the game but i have barley played it. When i bought it i thought that there would be some kind of campain or mission but it doesnt. all that you do is race. when u win a race you dont really gain anything u just unlok the next race. does the game get ny better or is it just like that the whole way through??

also wen i bought it i thought it would be an online game as it says it on the case but its not all u do is download patchs. is there anyway of playing online becasue if there isnt that sux

It is a bit confusing, there are many menus to navigate through. The worst part of this game is that it doesn't even tell you which races you've completed when you're picking your race - you have to go back to your profile to check. total rubbish. Other than that the game ownz.

i also found it boring, i mean, 8 tracks?? i was expecting around 26-32, much like other racing games

It's a racing game, and a niche one at that. You don't typically have "campaigns/missions" with this type of genre. Think about games like Gran Turismo, Formula 1, or Midnight Club; it's all about racing and the adrenaline rush of high speed competition. Although the ability to win credits to upgrade/customize your ships (ala WipeOut Fusion) would've been nice, you still get to unlock more tracks as you progress through the different game modes, not to mention download material which keeps things fresh. Throw high tech weaponry/combat into the mix and you've got a unique racing game that's had fans hooked ever since it's first iteration on PSX.

hey man this game is for serious racers, if you aint one then i guess you could find it boring...anyways you guys should be grateful...this is one of the few games that were specifically for psp, and that means they are pretty decent...because most games are usually ripped off a previous successor, eg ps2 or xbox so that being taken into the games that have previous successors or were meant to be played on higher, better defined console usually are really crap and cut back with lower graphics, cut scenes and maybe the frequent cut backs on game content...but this ladies and gentlemen is one of the few games which has been specifically designed for psp...with that in mind that means that the developers have actually taken into considerations of what the psp is capable of and have created this game based on those capabilities...with that being said the game is quite decent...there havent been any draw backs nor regrets to buying this game...although there might be the slight considerations of the AI control and some items but other than that the game is nice...the maps are 3D and unless you are epileptic or have some seizure type involvement with games then you will fine... most games have glitches...i havent found any yet and ive taken the time to explore every little detail of the map... there are no glitches maybe the rare bug here and there but other than that none...according to the 8 tracks comment...you can download more with more ships and skins...nowadays i play the game in my spare time...sure the game gets annoying every once in a while because the dammed AI plan everything together with faster speeds meaning faster decreasing shields but if you truely have a passion for racing then this is a must get...i swear my reaction skills are improving everytime i play the game...

rofl, i aint been on neoseeker in like 2 years since i put this thread up and when i first got the game i didnt play it for more then a couple of days, now few days ago i randumly started playin it and i love it lol, just sumthing satisfying bout gliding round the corners, anyway i wondered if theres any way of getting the downloaded content becasue i wanna try some new tracks and aparantly they removed the servors, also i hav no usb from the psp to the computer so is there any way of getting it of the psp, btw the actual pure website dont work on the psp, any help appriciated, also thnx for the comments guys it was nice hearing ur opinions, last thing does anyone recommend getting wipeout fusion ???? im intrested in online play but some say the drivin experience aint the same?
