Phase 4 complete. Got it on my 4th try too, WOOT! WOOT!

The enemies you encounter in the first round of Phase 5 are freakin' awesome, their easily my favorite non-boss enemy in the game. They drop down from the sky in these red rock-like coffin things, kinda like how the Elites drop down at the end of the E3 2003 video. Their pretty big, probably about 12 feet or so, and their tough as nails. Although I only tried Phase 5 one time, the moves I saw from them were pretty badass, and when you take half their health they mutate and go into snap mode, kinda like a berserker type thing.

I've just gotta say one more time that I absolutley love this download, it's tied right up there with Halo for my favorite game of all time! I've never enjoyed any game as much as I'm enjoying this download right now, freakin' awesome stuff Team Ninja! I feel kinda bad for the less skilled NG players out there though, 'cuz this is the hardest game I've ever played, bar none! And those less skilled players won't have the chance to experience the glory of the later stages, as well as the new enemies. I can only imagine what those 2 new bosses at the end will be like.

I'm going to try and play this tonight. Test my Ninja skillz. I won't complete if for awhile though because I don't have all the time in the world. But I'll try.

i really dont care if you dont believe me. the reason i did not answere this before is because honestly, i was sleeping. i did die in phase 5. ill give you very fine details id only know by playing phase 5. After you hit the button on the ground a meteor comes down and lands in the ring. out pops a medium size fiend that is holding a weapon like the dablihro but bigger. its pretty fast and does a fair amount of damage. soon after you start to fight it another one comes out. the fiends attacks consist of slashing and fireball shooting. once you start to deal a lot of damage to them they raise there sword in the are and change color from mostly white to sorta black. they are now much faster. there swords are also red hot which might be the reason there attacks are stronger. they take a while to kill (i used the true dragon sword). you fight four of them all together. Then you open a chest with a great spirit elixer in it. you then have to battle one of the fiends that were in the opening cutscene. She battles exactly like Alma 1st form. while you battle her a bunch of light brown fiends attack you. i dont know what happens after that because in the battle i ran out of elixers and died.
None of my friends have even played Ninja Gaiden i dont just lie over something like this. If you still dont believe me why dont you pm me again and ask what weapons ive got so far.

Quick question...
are there any save points in this installation?

Yeah, it lets you save between Phases. It's set up like a battle arena, there's Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, etc. etc.

Explain this to me then, if you were sleeping, then how come 20 minutes after I PM'd you those questions your name showed up at the bottom of the forum before my name, meaning that you had to be in this forum at the exact same time I was. Now here's what I don't understand. You were having so much trouble in Ch.6 on the far easier first Hurricane Pack, yet you managed to breeze right through the first 4 Phases of the much harder Vol. 2 pack without dieing once. Makes absolutley no sense to me.

sound so challenging i'm pumped now hehe.. just a quick question will i missout on anything if i just jump right onto vol 2 without playing vol 1?

Personally I got up to the 5th part and I defeated the blue-Alma like person and after that you face the person in the start video with the whip who's really annoying and dosent have any people around really annoying
I died alot during it and still am because of the whipper

In the 4th bit I think you can get a great spirit elixir instead of ghost fish i did once

I BEAT IT! Took me about 10 tries to beat Phase 5, but I did it. Boy i'll tell ya, I have never felt so much satisfaction in my entire life then the moment I beat this thing, it was even more satisfying then sex!

That last boss was freakin' hard as hell! The previous 5 or so times I got to her I did pretty well the first half of the fight, then she would completley kick my ass once I got her health down past the half way point. The final time I fought her I went into the fight with 2 Great Spirit Elixers and 3 Spiritual Elixers, and my god she owned my ass the first half of the fight. When I ran out of Elixers she had a little over half her health, and I had a little over half my health as well, then a new strategy popped into my head, so I thought "Shit, since I know i'm gonna die anyways i'm gonna give this a try and see how it works", so here's what I did, using the Lunar. I would wait for her to swing around on the spines of the skulls and I would hold Y to get my max essence built up, while she's swinging around on the things it gives you just enough time to charge up for the max essence attack, then right before she's about to stop on my face I let go of Y and unleash the max essence move on her, and it seemed to do a fair amount of damage to her. So the rest of the fight I would jump and dodge all her attacks and only attack her after she does her shoulder dash attack, 'cuz that seems to be the only time she wouldn't dodge my whole Lunar combo, and I would give her the max essence move when she swings around on the things. I got her health down to where it would only take about 2 or 3 hits to finish her off, and I got too anxious and tried to sneak a combo in on her, she dodged my whole Lunar combo and gave me the ol' foot in the back of the head, stomp my face in the ground and whip me in the ass move, and I though I was dead for sure after that. But very luckily I had the littlest piece of health left, you couldn't even really see any health on my health bar, and thank god the next move she did was the pole swing move. So I charged up for a max essence attack, waited for her to pounce, and gave her the final blow!

Then the door busts open and Rachel falls out of the door still alive, and does her same pathetic little "Ryu" voice, then it's over.

i'm going nuts now cuz i can't play it yet. have to run to the store first to pick up a subscription card and i can't do that till after 9 o'clock p.m. oh well i guess i'll check out FFXI till then.

ahhhh thanks man i guess i'll just jump right onto vol 2. i dunno if it's gonna be my weapon of choice cuz the dragon sword and vigoorian flail always been the weapon of choice for melee combat. if it's better i guess luner all the way

I downloaded it, just for the fun of it. So far, I'm on Phase 3 and I quit right when I got to Phase 3. I died twice in Phase 1 and one in Phase 2. Yeah yeah, shut up. Some of you may be wondering why I died twice in the easiest stage and then died once in the second one. Well you play Fable for 2 weeks and try and play Ninja Gaiden after that. I thought the Y button was roll and the X button was jump.

Anyway, I got some of my mojo back and did really well in Phase 2. Thus, learning a lesson in pratice when you haven't played the game for a month.

Yay i completed it too gonna try harder to get a better score now i got like 37/45 on the rankings so yea... try using the DDB it can be very helpful in those last few stages
