i'm sorry, but i don't have the name of the philosophy.. .but i know there was a philosophist named Franz Kafka who said "why build knowing destruction is inevitable? why yearn live knowing all things must die?"... other than that... my only guess is pessimism

To Keferth,
Topic of Geneal Leo's refusal of undergoing Megitek. I decided to post that reply here, rather then continuing this discussion in the wrong thread. I remember the soilder speaking of this, yet remember other characters bringing up the fact that he did have something done...hmm, i'll research my dialog files later and see if i can find it. But! good point you brought up. I just had in my head that he went through some aspect of the procedure..i'll let you know my findings on this topic. ------------------- ![]() "nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you're a hit man or a video gamer." -Jack Thompson

re: Kefka |

yea well um....getting back on track, i would have to say that Kefka's appearance has to do a lot with the way we think he sounds in our head. Every ime Kefka gave that Vuee hee hee laugh (not the sound effect one) i thought of a clown honking his horn. How are you supposed to "1) respect and 2) take seriously" someone who sounds like a clown at a parade?

re: Kefka |

First of all buddies lets get one thing straight, in the original SNES version his laugh was alot diferent (there were countless audio errors in converiting the cartridge based programing to a CD) and third of all it's Kefka's flamboyance which makes him interesting. Anyways No ones gunna answer my question so I'll just do it.
The most interesting thing about Kefka is his Nihlistic beleifs at the end of the game he begins talking about how living a life where pain and an end to everything are inevitable is pointless. Nihlism is an actual philosophy postulated long ago in greece which states that it doesn't matter what people do or what happens since destrution is inevitable. In other words there is nothing wrong with frying some kid with the light of Judgement.

quote finkellllLook, you like Sephiroth..obviously. But trying to sit in a FFVI forum saying this means nothing. Ofcourse the fans of this game will say Kefka could rip Sephiroth a new one, easily. Just like if i walked into one of many Sephiroth discussion threads and tried to boost about Kefka, i'd get flamed out of there so fast. So just remember that people when responding to this obviously lost Sephiroth supporter! ------------------- ![]() "nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you're a hit man or a video gamer." -Jack Thompson

re: Kefka |

um...
1) what you say about me getting flamed outta here means absolutly nothing to me because... 2) I heard from ppl that i respect that kefka is better and was greatly upsetted by the fact that he was no where near the expectation i had for him. so... 3) i thought i would come to a ff6 forum to see what kefka fans had to say about him that i potentially missed...
