I was searching something from Internet and I noticed these two fellows. So are they some secret characters or what?
I'm in my old game quite far but I haven't seen them, or am I that far in the game? -------------------

you can get them any time in the World of Ruin as far as I'm aware
Umaro I assume you have Mog? bring him with you to the esper on top of the Narshe mountain and fight the esper, then you climb inside the mountain and look arround for a bone carvings, take the magicite out and Umaro will join you after you fight him Gogo there's a small island at the top right of the map, fight a worm thing there and let it swallow all your party members, you'll enter a dungeon inside the worm, go through the dungeon and you'll get Gogo ------------------- Guestbook

yeah, that was something I didnt really like about FF4, you never chose your characters, when someone new joined the party, an old character would always die or something just before it

Umaro's real strong. I used him on the Magic Tower(so i call it) he takes away 9999 easy if u equip him with the rage ring.

Every character had a use. Dispite what others might think. No matter how hardit was to use them in every battle, they all had their strong points and weakness, same as every other character. Finding a use for their abilites was part of the game. A nd being able to use them was part of the fun!
