can someone please tell me hou do u become don of nyc?

i have the same problem.i finished all missions,took over every racket and extorted every bussines,did all contract hits,bought all safehouses and got every warehouse on the map.and i'm still only don.not don of NYC,just don.i'm very dissapointed because i did everything.i spent 28 hours in playing.it's not very fair i think.i red in internet how to get every execution style,but i completed every mission in the game-I DO NOT HAVE ENEMIES!!!then how the hell to get the execution styles????VERY STUPID END of very good game!

hijack cars and in some there are family rivals the pres esc go 2 tom's report to your rap sheet and chose execution stiles it will tell you how many u got left

It might take awhile but what the last guy said should work. If you decide to play the game through again I suggest that you do it earlier in the game so you don't have the same results.

Hi, hope these aren't silly questions. i've completed all the missions given, businness extorted,all safehouses and execution styles as well. What does it mean by crack all safes and any idea where to find the films reels? Can somebody just briefly go through it with me? Thanks and cheers.

did u hijak all those semi's and talk to the driver?they tell you the location of the warehouses...

you hafta do all executions (basically every execution with every weapon out) you can find these on the net. You also hafta look into your map check out each building and crack the safes in each, but ive done this. Ive got 99 of 100? What in Gods name do I do now? lol, this game is crap!

Not sure if this thread is live anymore, but I have just completed Godfather and got to Don of NYC. There is a lot of misleading information on the web about how to become Don of NYC. Just to put your mind at rest it doesn't matter how many execution styles you have completed, or how many safes you have blown up (within reason) or how many film reels you have collected. I got to Don without blowing many safes and my game percentage was only 69%. I had control over all rackets, safehouses, warehouses and hubs though. I couldn't work out how to become Don of NYC, but then I started blowing safes, starting with the ones in the rival family compounds that I had now taken over. When I had blown the rival families' safes I got promoted to Don of NYC. I'm pretty sure that was all I had to do, so when it comes to blowing safes it isn't the number that count, but which ones you blow!
