I completed this game years ago, only reason I'm posting this is because I still think it was a great game, so is the second, its funny actually you hear the name Max Payne and you think its gonna be awful but its actually got a cool story line, great script, fun gameplay (first time, although its short and easy) and Payne himself is a really cool protagonist. Its a dark game with a superb literical backdrop, even using pathetic fallacy in the weather. Incredible beggining in his home and the first line is almost perfect... 'They were all dead'. Just an awsome game though the graphics and general gaming is outdated. It wouldn't be difficult to make a film out of it and that would be incredible.
