Everytime I load up the game, I get the pictures, I get the music, but there's no sound effects! There's no menu sounds, no footsteps, no gunblade noises, no summon/monster noises, nothing! Has this happened to anyone else? Any way to stop this? I hate that I can't play (without the sound its pointless) the greatest FF in the series!

Well theres a few things you can try. Firstly go to the config and try the sound test out if you can't get it to work doing that and your using win xp then run compatability mode. Other than that i'm not sure. Thats the worst part about playing games like this on the pc you get little problems like that. The cut scenes in mine don't work properly .

Exactly. Thats why you should go out and but either a playstation or a playstation 2. Then no more of these problems!

Seems obvious, that's probably why we don't check it, but load up the volume control and make sure none of the sliders are at the bottom. For some reason windows turns one (usually wave) down sometimes.
