How do you know if your save file is corrupted? Do you get a message? Because the game really acts like it has been corrupted.. In CotS, I cannot skip the character overviews (when a char has won or lost). The 'winning' and 'losing' sound effects do not play on the right time, and a lot more kinda things.

I checked the disc and indeed, there were lots and lots of scratches on it. My brother already have shared many angry moments regarding CD's, dvd's etc. Everytime he stops playing, he refuses to put the disc back into its cover.

What is the best way to clean up the disc a bit?

i use rubbing alcohol then wipe it with a tissue but if you went to get it buffed that should pretty much fix it.

This game has been corrupt on me like 3 times.
the whole rpg strategy mode was a great add-on.
Brilliant actually, but the corrupt saved data seems to happen to a lot of people.

Its like puttin in enough hours for a final fantasy, like 60+ only for it to be corrupted.

Mine corrupted on me like 2 times. The bad thing is that you might not see it coming at all, when it happened to me it came completely out of the blue:# The only way i know how to fix it is to get a seperate memory card just for SCIII, as much trouble as that is

If you want rid of your scratches though you could try to put toothpaste on your disk, then wait 10 minutes, then whipe it off.

Its never really worked for me but its worth a shot.
