I have mentioned this in the Clan Chat before I'll mention it again.

Since people are reporting for shitty reasons, I came up with an idea. Whenever anything that can be taken out of context is said, censored, or... like Angy's case, something that would SEEM (Emphasis on seem) to be giving out personal details, the clan chat should be screenied along with the people in it. It may not be the best idea, but it sure would help if people did this for the sake of nabbing the reporter.

Well, since in a way this does have to do with the topic at hand....

Jagex denied my first recovery attempt. I sent in a second one and did not have the tracking code with me, so Wednesday I tried to send in another request which I thought meant they denied the second attempt. So I sent in a third and sent an email to Jagex about the situation.

Forward to Thursday I received my reply from Jagex and they said my recovery was still pending, which confused me. Around 2 o'clock on Thursday I loaded up the log in screen and put in my old pass, said it was locked. About 20 minutes later I tried again, it said the pass was wrong. Put in the new one I changed it to and viola, I logged in.

They denied my second attempt as a dup, accepted the third. So my account is back in my hands. Good fight Jagex.

If any wannabes want to totally ruin someones account, they belong elsewhere. We arent here to police each other, were here to have fun with each other.

So basically, I third that. (except a night with you and rich... too extreme maybe?)

However, screenshotting every single comment is nothing many people will do.

I don't mean every comment. Just the potentially bad ones, you know.

About this whole leaking the chat thing:

Neoseeker comes up in a lot of runescape screenshot searches and such (that's how I found it lol), so most people find this site through google. Once they've found the site, it a) isn't exactly a hard chat name to guess and b) is broadcasted in this thread and under the header. Chances are people are just finding it and, because they don't actually have any friends, decide to join the chat to feel accepted into a community. Then, when they are treated rudely (we all do it, and it's usually mutual) they report for shitty reasons for retaliation.

So I just made that up, but looking back it looks pretty damn feasible.

Its a logical explanation. I found neoseeker 3 years ago looking for a site that had Megaman cheats

But, whenever I was in the clan chat, I never recalled anyone talking shit to them, so I cant prove that that is the reason people get reported.

One thing I did notice yesterday, is that at one of the busiest times for the clan chat (and Runescape in general) is 7-8pm GMT, but there were no generals on at that time.

Although nothing much happened, there were the odd sniping comments, but Coer seems to be on quite a lot at that time, and has authority, whether or not he's a general. I'm not sure whether he'd like the position or not, but I reckon he'd do better where he could stop the trouble if any occured.

Another thing though, some people have said they'll leave the clan chat, because of reasons of immaturity and flaming. Since they've gone, with the exception of one or two people, there's been none. Logical conclusion maybe?

You do know that we cant ban people from the forums/clan chat for reporting others? If thats the way they want to play the game then so be it, but all I can say is that they will make an enemy of alot of people here.

Something needs to be done about chat, there has to be a friends list.

Someone is inviting all these noobs in. There's like 20 non-neoers in the chat atm. :X
