#RuneScape is located on irc.pwnsu.com, the network used for the main Neoseeker channel. There are several ways to connect. I recommend using either mIRC or the Web Client.



Channel statistics are kept and published to a webpage regularly. These statistics include who talks the most, what time the channel is most active, a random quote from the top participants, etc.





RScript is the main bot of the channel. It contains a wide array of features which have been documented in this post.

IceFeline was a channel logging bot that kept logs of the channel, analysed them and updated the stats page (above) periodically. IceFeline hasn't been operating in #runescape for several months, hence why the stats page is severely out of date.


The channel has a very lighthearted atmosphere but everything said will be moderated. The following are consequences for misbehavior in the IRC chat:

forum ban - for SERIOUS misbehavior, action will also be taken in the form of a ban from this forum.

You are expected to follow the RS forum rules in addition to the following rules.

• Don't abuse fellow Neoseekers: You know the drill. Constantly pick on someone, and be kicked, banned, or "neo-banned" as well.
  
• Spamming: If you spam "hihihihihihihihihi" or fill up a screen with messages, it will be noticed and action will be taken. Spamming the same message 3 times will result in an automatic kick by RScript.
  
• Racism/Offensive Language: Swearing is alright, but please, NO racist remarks. Using any racist remarks (you know which ones qualify) will immediately earn you a kick/ban. Also, don't go way over the top with swearing please.
  
• Bans Crossing Over: If the NeoRS moderators see fit, your forum ban may be carried over to the IRC chatroom. The chatroom is part of the forum, and will be treated as such.
  
• Your Nickname: If you join the channel with a nickname other than your Neoseeker Screename, you will be kicked until you change it. If you would like to use your RuneScape username, consult a moderator first. If your Neoseeker username is unavailable (already registered), you can use [Neo]NeoName. You may add your "current status" to your nickname (example: Kjg[away]), but anything else just isn't okay.

Currently, the following users have moderator powers in the IRC channel. Most can be alerted by typing @[name] into the message box.

It is, that would take you to #Neoseeker and most of the members there would eat you alive.

Been there, it's kinda boring tbh. Mind you, I've never been there when you were.

To explain a bit...

The Neo IRC is full of people who have been chatting on IRC together for roughly 3 years now, actually 4 years in some cases. So they are more closed to new people, and generally haze them a bit, as do I. It is a ritual.

The RS IRC as it is fairly new is not as bad.

I actually have more lines in the RS IRC which has been around since August, then the Neo IRC which has been on it;s current server since 2005.

On a side note: Rscript sucks because his owner will not keep him logged in.

Kyle as an FYI when Rscript is gone, I allow Tiki to bring in Tikibot to take over for things.

I have changed the Public trigger of [TikiBot] to the ~ sign.

This is to stop confusion when using RScript's Price function, as well as stopping the interference with @stats.


I'm always open for new ideas, so if you're on IRC, send a query my way.

There will soon be a !suggest function for Tikibot, for easier submission of ideas.


In the event Rscript or Watchcat goes missing, you can find Tikibot in #Tikibot, and a simple !invite command will join him to the channel.
