Get paid for Mage EXP! I was wondering if anyone had posted the guide for the mage training arena. (Where you buy 250k worth of runes, do Mage training arena until you have enough pizzaz (sp?) points for infinity boots.) Firstly: ~ Buy 1200 Cosmic runes, ~ Buy 300 Law runes, ~ Buy 550 nature runes, ~ Buy 50 Earth runes, ~ Buy an Air Staff, ~ Buy a Fire/Lava Staff, ~ Buy a Water Staff. Do all the mage training arena tasks, until you get: ~ 1200 Enchantment points, ~ 120 Graveyard points, ~ 540 Alchemist points ~ 120 Telekinetic grab points. Guide on how to do each task. [looking for a link] When you get the required points, purchase the infinity boots, sell them at grand exchange for 700k This brought me 450k profit per day. Plus extended mage EXP, like 70k Exp a day. It requires patience, but it's worth it.

Zap's Guide To CLOOO's Welcome to mah guide to clue'ing. As you may know its a very good way for making cash if your unsure of otherways or not confident enough for Godwars or Barrows, or just simply bored. ![]() Lets get started then. There are three different types of clues, each having a totally different set of rewards. They are : lvl 1,2 and 3. Each lvl of clue has more increasingly difficult puzzle to solve, ranging from simple speaking clues to co-ordinates or even riddles. ~ What drops these clues? ~ Well most monsters in runescape drop clues, and for the theives among you who do not like combat you can steal clues by pickpocketing HAM Members. The female members you need 15 theif and for the male's you need 20 theif. The hideout is located east of draynor and west of lumbridge. ![]() ~ Monsters that drop lvl 1 clues ~ Men and women (Lower lvl), Farmer, Goblin, Banshees, Afflicted, Barbarian, Al-Kharid Warrior, theif , Thug, Rock Crab, Minotaur,Mugger, Cave slime, Rogue, Fremennik Citizen, HAM Guards ~ Monsters that drop lvl 2 clues ~ Men and women (Higher lvl), Guards, Cockatrice, Catablepon, Cyclops, Harpie bug swarm, Pyrefiend, Fremennik Warrior, Jungle Horror, Ice Warrior, tribesmen, paladin, Vampires, Dagannoth, Jogre, Skeleton, abyssal leechs ~ Monsters that drop lvl 3 clues ~ Greater Demon, Cave horror, Hellhounds, Terror Dogs, Aberrant Specter, Waterfiends, Kurasks , Suqah, Gargoyle, Nechryaels, Abyssal Demons,Cyclops, Jelly ( <3 ), Ankou, Turoth, Dragons ; Green, Blue, Red, Black, Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, and Genral Graardor (Bandos Boss), and the Spiritual Mage/Ranger/Melee. ~Coordinates~ For a Coordinate clue you will get a clue that says "01 Degrees 27 Minutes South, 20 Degrees 04 Minutes East" To solve these types of Clues, you will have to have : Sextant ![]() Navigation chart ![]() Watch ![]() Spade ( Dont Forget The Obvious ) ![]() Note: You need to have these items at all times while Doing this part of the clue. ~ Zamorak / Saradomin Wizards ~ When you are doing a Level 3 Coordinate Clue that involves the wilderness, a Zamorak wizard will appear when you try to dig at the correct location. level 3 clues that are not in the wilderness sometimes cause a Saradomin Wizard to appear, but not always. You must kill the wizard and dig at that spot again to obtain your next Clue or reward. ~ Speak To ~ Speak to clues are fairly common on low lvl clues, yet can appear on the higher lvl too. Here are some of the common one’s Bartender – Varrock at the Blue moon inn. Doric – In the house east of taverly gates with the anvil sign. Hazelmere - Jungle Spiders Island, East of Yannile, On the second floor of the Hut King Bolren – Tree Gnome Maze, Directly opposite the spirit tree Zoo Keeper – Ardougne Zoo And the lesser known one’s Donovan - Sinclair Mansion - North-West of Camelot Castle, on the second floor Gaius - 2-Handed Sword Shop in taverly Kangai Mau – Restaurant in Brimhaven. Ulizius - Outside the Gates of Mort Myre swamp, south west from the centre of canafis ~ Anagrams ~ An Anagram is a word spelled by rearranging the letters of the original word. Anagram Clues are usually names of different NPC's in RuneScape when properly rearranged. The most common three of these anagrams are : C On Game Hoc - Gnome Coach - Tree Gnome Stronghold – around the outside of the Gnome ball field O Birdz A Zany En Pc - Cap'n Izzy No Beard - Brimhaven - Agility Arena Hut By Look - Bolkoy – Tree Gnome Stronghold General Store ~ Challenges ~ Another type of Clue Scroll that you will be given is the mathematical clue . These clues test your knowledge of RuneScape as well as challenging numerical problems such as equations. When you get a these type of Clues, you will need to figure out the answer, and return the clue to whoever ever gave you the challenge, and give him/her the answer, where you will get your next clue or reward. E.G – Question - If x is 15 and y is 3, what is 3x + y? Answer – 48 ~ Puzzle boxs ~ If your unlucky enough to get one of these, I bet your hoping the clue will be worth it, and 9 times out of ten it is To solve these puzzles, do the top row first, then the second row, then third, then do the four boxes to the lower left then finish off the six boxes to the lower right. This will test your patience to the max as you will want to kill something ( I suggest a pillow close by ) ![]() *Thank God there’s only 3* ~ Maps ~ Maps are usually very rough sketches and you will need knowledge of the world to be able to get the correct location. There are a few different varieties of Maps which you could get. There is a Box Map where you simply search a box to collect the next clue or reward. ![]() There is also a Map where you have to take precise steps to get the X ![]() And finally there is a simple X Marks the spot clue, where you dig and will most likely get a Wizard. You may get a wizard on any of these Map types if it is a lvl 3. ![]() ~ Emote ~ In my opinion the most annoying yet easiest clue’s to do. For example it may say – Rasberry in the Fishing guild bank, Have a steel Kitesheild, Blue Vambraces and a ring of life Equipt. Also if you cannot enter the fishing guild you can use an admiral pie to boost you lvl temporarily. For these clues you just pop over to the Grand Exchange and buy all the useless stuff that you need unless you know were to get it faster. For an emote clue it will never ask for you to do an “Random Emote” like Lean. ~ The Rewards – Woooooo!@#$# ~ All Level Clues could have … As a reward : Torn Pages Sara/Guthix/Zamorak Firelighters – Hotter than Angy xD Enchanted Amulets Coins Random runes Purple sweets – They sell for a nice 2k each considering you can get from 1-30 in a reward. ~ Lvl 1 Rewards ~ Sara/Guthix/Zamorak Robe Tops and Robes Blue/Green/Red Elegant (Male) Blue/Green/Red Elegant (Female) Bob the cat T-Shirts Black Armour (T) & (G) Emote Enchanters – Powdered Wig, Flared Pants, Pantaloons, Sleeping Cap White/Blue/Black Berets Wizard Robes (T) & (G) Studded Leather (T) & (G) - Rawr! kinky Leather stoof Highway man mask Amulet of magic (T) Willow Comp Bow Black Helm (H) Black Kite (H) Black Cane Spiky Helm Black Crossbow Black Bolts Black nails Carved Oak Bench Oak Armchair Oak Dresser. ~ Lvl 2 Rewards ~ Sara/Guthix/Zamorak Cloaks and mitre’s Adamant Armour (T) and (G) Red/Orange/Black/Blue/Green Boaters Black/Purple Elegant (Male) White/Purple Elegant (Female) Black/Brown/Red Headbands Green D’Hide (T) & (G) Wizard Boots Ranger Boots – Holy … 5m!! Amulet of Strength (T) Yew Comp’ Bow Adamant Kite (h) Adamant Helm (h) Pith Helm Adamant Cane Animal Masks Teak Planks Teak Flatpacks Adamant nails. ~ Lvl 3 Rewards ~ Sara/Guthix/Zamorak Stoles and Croziers Rune armour (T) & (G) Sara Armour (Helm, plate, legs, kite) Guthix armour (Helm, plate, legs, kite) Zamorak armour (Helm, plate, legs, kite) Gilded armour (gold plated) (Helm, plate, legs, kite) 3rd Age Mage armour – (hat, robe top, robe bottom, amulet) 3rd Age Melee armour – (helm, plate-body, Plate-legs,Kite) 3rd Age Range armour – (coif, top , Chaps, Vambraces) Blessed D’hide armour – Sara Blessed D’hide armour – Guthix Blessed D’hide armour – Zamorak Enchanted Robes Cavalier Hats – Tanned, Dark, Black (hot) Blue D’hide Armour (T) & (G) Pirate Hat – Ahoy! Robin Hood Hat Amulet of glory (T) Magic Comp’ Bow Rune helm (h) Rune kite (h) Top Hat Rune Cane Other Rune items include - Rune Armour, Rune Pickaxe, Rune axe, Rune Weapons Sharks, nature runes, law runes, super restores (rare) and Black Dragon Hide Rune Crossbow, Runite Bolts, Super Potions, Mahogany Planks, Mahogany flatpacks, Gilded furniture flatpacks (including: Gilded clock, Opulent table, Gilded four poster bed, Gilded wardrobe), Rune nails. ~ F.A.Q ~ Do I always get an item every clue I do? No unfortunately not, yet there is a high % you will get an specific item related the that lvl clue, yet it may not always be the one that you desire. Can I get more than 1 clue at a time? No you cannot, although if your lucky you can get two clues on the floor but can only pick up one. For one part of the clue I cant get into ___ does that mean I cant finish the clue? To finish the clue you will need the Reqs to get into that particular area, EG - Elf place [Updates] 13/7/08 - Finally got around to putting in new TT Items. ~ Zap's Guide To Pyramid Plunder ~ My God Where Has My Life Gone ? ~ Intro To Plundering ~ Pyramid Plunder is the game, and great XP is it's name. Anyway, the fact of the matter is, if done properly as shown in this guide you will earn thieving XP faster than you ever have before. Pyramid Plunder is way more fun than guards/Knights/Paladins , and a hundred times less irritating too . Note: This Mini Game requires a thieving level of 21 or higher ~ Inventory and set-up ~ The Hat is just for, well i like the hat D: Spotty cape/spottier if you can wear, Boots of lightness to keep weight down gloves if you want, and the Sceptre (fully charged) ![]() The Super Antis i find work better but normal's will survice. The monks are there for Obv. healing you and are more cost effective than sharks. I leave 8 spaces free in my invent to collect gold Artifacts but if you are lower HP You may want to carry more monks. Also you can add/swap a Monkfish for an energy potion. ![]() ~ How to get there ~ Click You sceptre and click "Teleport" - You will then get this screen. Choose the Place squared. ![]() Then... ![]() You will then come into room 1: lvl 21 thief required. To get to the next room you will need 31, and the next 41 etc. ![]() In this room you will find : 4 Doorways Urns Grand Gold Chest Sarcophagus I shall now go into More depth about each one. ~ The 4 Doors ~ ![]() In every room there are 4 of these randomly scattered about the room, they are quite well Camouflaged too. 3 of these doors lead to a dead end, One leads to the next lvl'd room. It can get quite fustrating at times when you fail these several times only to find a dead end. If your on a popular world the door will be the same for each person, so it will help you all to work together and get 1 door each to save precious time. ~ Urns ~ ![]() This is were it starts to get tricky, Lets say that your 71 thief. You wont have time to get to the 61 room loot all the urns then do the same with the 71 room. So what you do is right clikc "Search for Snakes" which gets you a little less thief exp but alot faster and a higher % of not failing. Then proceed to the next room and Loot the urns as normal. ~ Grand Gold Chest ~ Sounds Gurd eh ? Anyway i recommend looting this last as sometimes you trigger a trap in which you get scarabs, which hit fast... Very fast. ![]() In this chest you are more likly to get a higher type item , EG Gold or a sceptre (Quite Rare, seemingly not in Neons case) *glares* ~ Sarcophagus ~ ![]() These things you should steer clear of, they give ZERO Thief exp and only a bit of str exp. Not to mention waste valuable time and swpan a mummie which rapes everybody to enter the room. Dont open Kay ? Gurd ~ Anonymous Doors ~ ![]() When you have done 5mins in plunder you get kicked out and appear outside one of these. There are 4 of these doors. North, South , east , west. The Guardian Mummie will be randomly in one of the rooms. Upon entering a room to find it empty you will return back outside the northern entrance each time in doing so. Or you may just use the sceptre charge to tele back to him, then recharge once your out. ~ E X P ~ Level | XP per Hour | XP per Game 21 | 8-10k | 800 31 | 18-20k | 1,800 41 | 25-30k | 2,500 51 | 45-50k | 4,500 61 | 50-80k | 7,000 71 | 100-120k | 10,000 81 | 150-180k | 15,000 91 | 200-240k | 20,000 ~ F.A.Q ~ What should I do with my items that I get from Plunder? You can sell them in the agility pyramid to Simon Templeton, or just drop them. Dropping them is more EXP Effective though and there not worth alot anyway. Where are the other locations which i can tele to using my sceptre ? Jalsavrah (the Thieving Pyramid), Jaldraocht (the Ancient Magic pyramid), or Jaleustrophos (the Agility Pyramid) How much does it cost to get my sceptre Recharged ? It has 3 charges, which can be recharged by the Guardian Mummy for the price of 6 gold artifacts, 12 stone, or 24 pottery. Im lvl 3 Can i do plunder ? Although it may be difficult and you would have to watch your hp and for scarabs yes its entirely possable. Juts bring salmon/trout instead of monkfish. Do Gloves of silence help at plunder ? No they only work with pickpocketing.

~ Zap's Guide To Tear's Of Guthix ~ ~ As requested ~ Hai Der. Tears of guthix is a great way to get those nub skills up that you hate to train. Sounds too good to be true ? Nope! ~ Requirements ~ ![]() Tons of them eh To complete tears of guthix quest you need : 20 Crafting, 49 Firemaking, 20 Mining The items needed for the quest are : Bullseye Lantern and or a Candle or other Light Source, Rope, Cut Sapphire, Chisel, Tinderbox, Swamp Tar, Pickaxe. ~ How to get there ~ If you go to lumbridge basement you will find this. If its your 1st time you will need a pickaxe to get through the rock. Note : Before entering make sure you have a light source. Otherwise you wait a couple of secs then get kicked out of the cave. ![]() Then Follow this map to the cave. ![]() Upon entering the cave, Follow this map to Tears of guthix Mini game. ![]() Next ... ![]() Which will result in a boring conversation. ![]() You will then be allowed into the cave for a period of time. The more Quest points you have the longer you can stay, the more tears you will get. ~ Stoof inside the Mini-Game ~ This type of water is blue, and adds +1 point for every second that you collect it. ![]() This type of water is Green, and decreases -1 point for every second that you collect it. ![]() ~ Time and water ~ Not much to say here , just that try use your time wisely. Stick to A wall and not go to north, east, south, try to stay to 1 wall. White is time left. ![]() The bowl will fill up the more water you collect. ![]() Hey! You said it was good exp, i havnt heard anoything about EXP Yet! ... Just wait ~ After the collecting ~ ![]() After you time is up you will drink however much water you have collected. It will be transfered into your lowest skill. Each tear is worth 15exp. But if your lowest skill is above 30 then each tear becomes worth 30exp! Ain't that dandy. ~ F.A.Q ~ Can i do this over and over ? No unfortunatly not, you may only do Tears of guthix ONCE per Week. Ok i waited a week, why cant i enter ? This is because you need to gain 100k exp or get 1 Quest point to enter. Although the 100K exp sounds alot it really isnt! This message was edited by Zapstr on Apr 04 2008.

Quests in general, eg, solving, killing, and other things of the sort. NOT quest guides. ::Table Of Contents:: *I. Welcome to Questing! *II. Basic 'requirements' needed. *III. Ideals of a Quester *IV. Puzzle-Type Quests *V. Combat-Type Quests *VI. Skill-Type Quests *VII. What NOT To Bring. *VIII. Helping Others/Friends With Quests *IX. Q&A *X. About Myself + Credits... *I. Welcome To Questing! Hey there! And welcome to the wonderful world of Quests! Now, before i begin, i'd just like to say that your getting no were by saying "Quests are lame", just proves that you, Sir and or Madam, are lame. Anyways! Questing is to quest one or more quests in a set time period. EG, five quests in one day. Well, its a set challenge that you can usually go about in different ways. Unlike skills, these have many things you must do to excel in them. *II. Basic Req's of Questing! Although, you may think quests ONLY need the items needed for the quest in general, many other things apply. Some are items, some are skills, and some involve your mentality. Items! I always find that certain items are Required for a quest, even if they arnt stated to be used/needed. The following are one's i would recommend. *III. Ideals of a Quester! These are small guidelines i personally follow. They help, and inspire me most of the time to help me succeed in difficult times. Morals! Although morals may not seem that important, they really are. This ideal is usually only used on days that quests come out and area's are filled with people. It can also go into affect when you quest with 1+ people. Im guessing you can think of thinks that are morally wrong. Patients YES! Patients is VERY important, since some quests almost RELY on you not doing anything. Many "Puzzle" quests usually have long, boring things you must do to continue, or things you must wait for activation. If you think your patients is running low, if possible, log off, go grab a cup of water, down it, maybe take a shower, then continue. (nap optional) The Will! You MUST have the Will to quest in order for you to become a decent quester. If you dont, then its useless to try. With this skill you can push yourself to beat anything that stands in your way! (Patients may be IN the way, just follow what i said there =P) *IV. Puzzle-Type Quests... These are usually the most annoying, but also the most challenging. Puzzles can range from sliding tiles, to riddles, to even a monster! I will explain the basic puzzle strategies here. Tiles ![]() All credit to the picture above goes to www.runehq.com This is the easiest way to understand puzzles. One of the first of these appeared in the quest Monkey Madness, simply do them in order from 1-5. Top to bottom. Dont be afraid to mess up a line in order to continue. 4-way-slips are common. That just means you rotate 4 to get one in a spot. Riddles With riddles, first right down everything related to that, for example. OOK OOK BOAT well lets see -monkey = ook ook -water/sea/ocean=boat -boats go to islands -monkey island. -Ape Atoll! Or, difficult things. like opposites, can usually appear. With these, if you cant solve, try and ask for help. Or else try the following; step 1) look for key words. Usually words that are capitalized, or words your unsure of. step 2) find out about these words. step 3) connect them to the plot of the quest. *V. Combat-Type Quests... These are a bit more difficult, since they strain your characters abilities. First of all, remember to know your enemies attack styles. Diagram below. Mage attacks -> Wear range gear Melee attacks -> wear melee gear Range attacks -> wear melee gear And also remember the "combat triangle" Melee->Range->Mage->melee (etc.) Then your weapon, if going: Melee, choose the strongest weapon you can get (dragon weapons are usually most advised, since, if lost, there affordable.) Range, Choose the best bow you have, and always look at special attacks, if they have them. Try to bring as much as the best ammo your bow can use possible, eg: Rune arrows for yew+ bows. (Crystal bow excused since ammo is 2500 shots.) Mage, select a staff (or dagger if you have the runes- Dagger because usually they give +1-5 mage attack.) Good staffs depend on the spell, for example, fire staffs take away the need for fire runes. A dependable staff is also Slayer Staff (50-55 slayer needed to use), since armor does not affect the damage. Then choose the appropriate number of runes. Safe Spots! Before a fight, always scout out a 'safe spot' for healing, or mage/ranging. These can usually help you out. Prayer! God all mighty! One of the most useful for quests, the usage of prayer. If you can use your prayer, but watch out for duel attackers. If your going mage and they can use range+melee, stay away and leave range pray up. Just watch your prayer and always bring potions. *VI. Skill-Type Quests Skill type quests are fairly simple to understand, although there are some "shortcuts" with skills. This DOES NOT MEAN you should always use them. Getting your levels up are very important for future uses, but here are your shortcuts. Potions! You can usually buy these, if not, try and make them. These can be found for ALMOST every skill. Drinks! Can be bought and ALSO made, although not many do due to the time consuming fertalizationing of the drink. "Skill Borrowing" New update allows this, so if your friend will come and give you this (while staying nearby) then go for it. *VIII. What NOT To Bring... Here is a list of things i'd advise you dont bring. *VIII. Helping Others/Friends With Quests This is a risky business, unless your expierenced, i'd advise you dont. But if the quest is allowed, and your sure you can handle it, try and follow the following; 1) Do not give away endings 2) Do not give exact answers 3) Do not let them get ahold of you (make you feel bad.) 4) Do not come unprepared. -you might have done it, but theres always danger. 5) Do not be irresponsible. *IX. Q&A Q I dont understand these puzzles, and its frustrating me... What do i do!?? A Well, first try and take a break, relax a bit, then try again. If its bothering you that much, ask for help, its allowed. Just dont ask for someone else to do it for you. Q I keep failing this part, and i might give up. Should i? A Maybe your doing something wrong, try and think out of the box, or seeing if a higher skill level will help. Maybe leveling up! *X. A Little About Myself, And the Credits! Hey, im Tadpradel, my Runescape ACC name is Jwd3, although i rarely play now, im an expierenced level 107. I've completed every quest (i only get on for quests.) and i love quests as it is. If you need further help, feel free to ask me! CREDITS -Tadpradel; writing the guide -Jagex; for Creating Runescape -www.runehq.com; for there puzzle picture.

Marshall's guide to Abyssal Runecrafting! Hey, and welcome to my Abyssal Runecrafting guide! When used correctly, the abyss is one of the best ways to make money and train runecrafting in Runescape. I've been using it for several months now, and at the time of writing this guide, I am several thousand exp off 81 runecrafting. Contents: 1: Abyss mini quest. 2: Inventory + What to wear. 3: The Abyss itself! 4: The inhabitants & obstacles. 5: Tips & Tricks. 6: Summoning and Runecrafting - does it help? 7: Credits. Section 1: The Abyss mini quest. (Requires Rune Mysteries quest completed.) To start the Abyss mini quest, talk to the Zamorak mage north of edgeville, in level 4-6 wild. He will tell you to meet him in varock, in the church south of the eastern bank. All you have to do is access the Rune Essence mines from three different locations. Section 2: What to wear (and inventory setup). This is the setup I personally use, and I find it quite effective indeed. ![]() Setup: Helm: Bear helmet, elemental mind helm, random hat, nothing. Amulet: GLORY (Charged). Cape: Spottier cape, spotted cape, skill cape. Weapon: Bronze pickaxe or axe (nothing if crafting laws). Shield: Saradomin book, elemental mind shield (optional) Body: If you have low defence, use black d hide. Legs: If you have low defence, use black d hide. Gloves: Penance gloves, though I use barrows gloves, but you don't really need any. Ring: Ring of life is a must! Boots: Boots of lightness. Inventory: As many pouches as you can hold, filled with essence. A teleport is optional, as is terrorbird scrolls (refer to the familiar section). Once you're experienced, don't bother with a teleport, but it's always nice to start out with one. I reccomend either a house teletab or an ectophial. If you have low defence or low magic or both, wear black dragonhide for protection in the abyss. Don't be scared of revenants, compared to the pkers of old they are not a challenge. Just continue running! Section 3: The Abyss itself! Simply this one. Run north from edgeville, cross the trench and run north, following the stream. Shortly afterwards you'll come to this area (the mage generally strolls around in this box): ![]() Right click on the mage and select "teleport". This will transfer you to the abyss! The abyss is comprised of two rings, an outer ring and an inner one. The outer one has monsters in it, and the inner one has entrances to all the rcing altars, as well as the Dark Mage, who fixes damaged pouches. Here is a map of the inner ring (credit to Zybez). ![]() Fairly self explanatory, each portal will take you to an altar. Once in an altar you cannot return to the abyss; craft your runes and use your glory to teleport the edgeville. As you level up, you can get higher levelled pouches to help you with your runecrafting. The small pouch is a gift from the Zamorak mage, whilst the others must be obtained by killing creatures in the abyss (see the inhabitants section). Small pouch: Holds 3 essence, no level requirement. ![]() Medium pouch: Holds 6 essence, requires level 25 runecrafting to use. ![]() Large pouch: Holds 9 essence, requires level 50 runecrafting to use. ![]() Giant pouch: The big momma of pouches, this pouch holds 12 essence and requires 75 runecrafting to use. ![]() Use all pouches that you can, and position them in your inventory as I have in the picture shown earlier on. This way you can unload them rapidly, which saves precious seconds of runecrafting time. Section 4: The inhabitants & obstacles. The abyss is jam packed full of nasty little beasties. It is a multi combat zone, and this is what makes it so dangerous. If you want pouches, I reccomend killing the leeches on the north western corner of the abyss, or ice bursting Abyssal walkers down to the south. Abyssal leeches: Combat level: 41 Hitpoints: 10 Note: Attacks with melee, only hits ones and twos but it hits rapidly. ![]() Abyssal guardians: Combat level: 59 Hitpoints level: 50 Note: This creature also attacks with melee, and has hit multiple 11's on me before. ![]() Abyssal walkers: Combat level: 81 Hitpoints level: 95 Note: Hits well into the teens, this creature is a nasty piece of work. Attacks with melee and ranged. ![]() To access the inner ring, you must pass an obstacle to get in. The obstacles change to one of 3 positions every abyssal run. Chop tendrils: Woodcutting, requires woodcutting axe. Squeeze through gap: Agility. Distract eyes: Thieving. Mine rock: Mining, requires pick axe. Burn boil: Requires tinderbox (not reccomended). Go through passage: Instant access to inner ring. The higher your level in the skill needed, the better chance you have of getting through. 70+ Woodcutting or mining and agility are reccomended. Section 5: Tips and tricks. 1. To conserve energy, only use run from the trench till the inner ring. With 70 agility I can always be back at 100% by the time I've done each run. 2. Bank quickly and efficiently by always going for the northern bank when you teleport to edgeville. ![]() 3. Run straight through the trees towards the mage, it actually cuts off one or two seconds per run. 4. Use hotkeys to quickly switch to different panels, as it saves valuable time. 5. Use the Oo'glog swamp to get unlimited run energy for around 30 minutes. If using familiars, this can be useful. Section 6: Familiars & Summoning - does it help? It most certainly does! I personally use Spirit terrorbirds on occasion (their scroll recharges energy) and it helps me to find a use for my many pouches in the bank. Abyssal lurkers and parasites carry extra essence, and are well worth using if you have the level required. Apparently the level 89 familiar, geyser titan, recharges glories, so it may be useful to utilise that ability. I believe now that terrorbirds are the most useful to use, but that's just my opinion. Section 7: Credits. Thanks for reading this guide, I did it because several Neo'ers asked me to and I hope you all find it useful. Credit to the inner abyss map goes to Zybez, but the rest of the images are taken by me. Happy Runecrafting! This message was edited by Marshal Loss on Apr 17 2008.

Saradomin's Encampment The run down Saradomin's encampment otherwise lair to Commander Zilyana is for lack of a better sentence. The easiest hard boss in runescape -_-; Dont get me wrong i have died to her in the past and so far she has been the only god wars boss monster to kill me. However that was due to lag. - She is level 596 - Her melee attacks strike faster than darts hitting up to 31 in quick consession. - Her mage attack is much more powerfull and strikes everyone in the room similair to General Graadors Ranged attack. Thus why everyone in the room will be using protect from mage. - To tackle commander zilyana you need 70 agility. Potions and Pies do not work. - A Zamorak and saradomin item is Required. Note: In order to acess this god you need to bring 2 ropes (only brought once) to drop down the obsticles. They only need to be brought once so i suggest bringing them and getting a feel for where to get the kc and what monsters to attack in a pretend attempt. That damned killcount again! ![]() As you can see from the image above these are the best places to get your killcount. Be forewarned however. If you do not have atleast 68 slayer. Your killcount will take alot longer than if you had 68 simply becuase you cannot attack spiritual warriors or rangers. A big note here is that all saradomin fighters are above 100 combat. That is why you only attack monsters while they are preoccupied with a Zamorak minion. I cannot stress this enough. I have become complacent at times and not watched the screen and let a ranger kill its minion and lost 50hp from that monster alone. Inventories: Now there are many little things that are able to be tweaked with a setup. Personally i preffer the guthan, and b2p technique as i have found this works best for me. The breakdown: - Guthans, for healing on the minions after zilyana is down - Whip, For quick killcount - Accumulator, This is required unless you want to waste 10k bolts. - Blessed D hide body, Saradomin or Zamorak it doesnt matter aslong as your stole is of the opposite god. - Stole, Read above. It also gives a nice pray bonus considering you do not have veracs. - Dragon boots, Very effective defence bonus, However you can replace with Ranger or snakeskin boots if desired. - Dragon\Barrows gloves, Dragon give the same range offence as vambraces but give better defence. Barrows > all. - Dragonfire shield, Best shield in the game, Can be swapped for a god book if you do not have, or granite\Obsidian shield. - Ruby\Diamond bolts, I have found that ruby work best for this if you have a low range level like i do. If your 90+ range go with diamond. If you want to use diamond and are not 90+ bring 2 range potions. Inventry breakdown: - Guthan plate and spear, Well thats kind of obvious isnt it? - 6 Saradomin brews, Now many people question why so few... Well if your smart enough you can bank almost all of your brews in one of your birds and survive off of peaches and your guthans in between kills. I find that 6 is still alot. However when i first started out i found i was using up to 10 brews at a time. So i'd say a good starting point would be 8 and adjust accordingly. - 12 Super restores, Restores your prayer and stats when using saradomin brews for health. - Summoning potion, For when you need to summon a new terrorbird. - Rune crossbow, I dont use this during kc as it wastes bolts. - Bones to peaches tablets, For turning the bones of the minions into peaches to heal off of. Very effective here if used right. Personally ive managed to get through to 20kc without needing to brew simply becuase of bones to peaches and guthans. - Tireless run scrolls, Considering your going to be doing alot of running around these are very handy. - 4x Terror birds, I find that i can replace purple sweets entirely with these birds. AND they are cheap to run ![]() Familairs @ the Encampment: Spirit terrorbird The reason i use the spirit terrobird is simple. - It carries up to 12 spaces, Making banking and the use of bones to peaches very simple without having to continually drop items on the ground and pick them up later. - The main reason i love this familair is becuase of its special technique. Tireless run. Unlimited energy and i have found is alot quicker at getting you energy back when in a tight spot rather than using purple sweets and only regaining 10% energy back at a time. Other familairs that work well at saradomin... Well so far the only familair ive found that is effective a t The Saradomin GWD is the Spirit terrorbird. However i have heard that the bunyip can be fairly effective if you want to replace one of the pouches with about 200 purple Sweets. Another familair that would make good use at Saradomin' would be the unicorn stallion. I have personally witnessed a team of four all using stallions and they have lasted over 4 hours in the arena. And that's without using Saradomin brews at all. Get these bloody minions off me jenkins! Very much like bandos the last person to hit damage on zilyana will become the target of all three minions. Bree - The centuar (range) Growler - The lion (mage) Starlight - The Unicorn (melee) Will all be attacking you. However dont stress. If you run and touch each the south and north wall. The minions will be "shaken" off you and attack someone else leaving you with the nice old growler to pray mage against North wall - Starlight will be shaken off you (melee) South wall - Bree will be shaken off you (ranger) Note: That you cannot get growler off you however he has been known to sometimes switch targets without warning while you are running ![]() Trapping Zilyana in a constant run ![]() Zilyana spawns Slightly to the north middle part of the Saradomin arena. Having the four people stand where i have indicated in the image above tends to trap her fairly well if everyone moves in such a fashion. However i have also found that if each person takes a corner for themselfs Zilyana will go for one person and all that person has to do is swap corners with a person from either the north or south positions and this traps her fairly well also. Take note of the picture below. Notice how we have formed a rough square around her. Its essential that you keep a rough square so that she doesnt manage to actually make it to her target before she gets hit again and switches. Edit: I just realised how much my own setup has changed in the last month since i took this picture ![]() The low down on Barrage and zgs There is no known way possible to effectivly barrage her. Even with three mages with 99 mage and maxed mage defence its hard for them to keep her stuck. Considering she is a mage and has insane mage defence Zgs spec from what ive seen works best. Freezes her once every 2-3 attemps. And considering it only takes 60% bar it is well worth it. With 4 rangers we can get her down to about a quarter health before she starts moving out of the Zgs spec. No tellies omg are you superman??? No, But when you have nearly 1k kills on this beast you learn her methods and become complacent. Watchoo gonna do sue me When lag attacks@@@@ Sorry bad movie name pun Although you should know that the killcount can be very long and boring so you dont want to be waiting around for a saradomin monster to get attacked by a zamorak one. This take hint of this inventry for when i ran back to get my own stuff (haha yes i died >.>) Praying on the monsters makes the killcount go alot quicker as does the super set. You want to be attacking monsters at all times so if this means attacking one even though its not being attacked. Do so and pray against it. ![]() However all of this is in vain if your team didnt bother to bless your grave. And can often be very costly ![]() Note: But dont let this turn you off, Saradomin is one of the few challenges left in Runescape and even she has become tiresome for me. However the rewards are still great and far outweigh any Barrows repairs it has cost me Take a look for yourself, *points below* The spoils ![]() Sara sword Sara Sword#2 Sara Sword #3 Sara Sword #4 Sara Sword #5 Sara Sword #6 This message was edited by Thug Angel on May 04 2008.
