The Grand Exchange Database! Welcome to the Grand Exchange Database guide! Here I will teach you how to effectively use the database to your advantage to merchant, buy or sell items at the perfect time or invest into an item. With the release of the Grande Exchange many players thought merchanting was gone but in fact I believe it's just easier, especially now with the database up. Before we start you should learn the basics of the database. While looking at any item you'll see that the graph has three lines. The daily average is blue, 5-day average is orange, and the 30-day average is purple. These show the average over the set amount of days, making this easy for predicting the prices. Along with the averages you'll see the prices on the left hand side and the dates along the bottom. At the top of the graph you'll also see the minimum, market, and maximum price for that day. Technical Trading! The first thing I'm going to talk to you about is technical trading. This is basically using the database graphs to predict the price rise or falls of certain items. By doing so, you'll be able to buy or sell items for profit or just so you're not losing money while using the item. In this example we're going to use the Saradomin Sword's graph to explain how technical trading is done. ![]() You can see in the above picture that the graph shows all three averages. What we're especially interested in are the daily and 5-day averages. To start out we need to look for what I call buy signs. This is a sign when it's preferably a good time to buy that item. If you look at the 16th of July you can see that the daily average has crossed over with the 5-day average while the daily average was below the 5-day average. This is called a buy sign and in most cases means that the price will rise. As simple as this is, you never know how much the price will rise unfortunately, so by doing this you do have a risk of losing money, it's just not that high of probability. Now that we talked about buy signs, I now need to show you about sell signs. This is when you should sell to prevent yourself from losing any if not all money you put into this item. While the daily average is above the 5-day, if at any point they cross it will become a sell sign and it's probably a good idea to sell. Once again you never know how much the price will change, you just know it will. In a lot of cases the price will only fall a few K and then rise again, in other cases it will plummet. Fundamental Trading! Now that we are clear of the technical trading I will show you about the fundamental trading. This is less of an investment and more of a buy then sell type deal. Looking for fundamental trades is quite easy. What you're going to be looking for are items which are high in volume and traded quite frequently such as runes or food which are consumed in large amounts by players. You also want to look for items which are stable in price and not jumping all over the graph. For this example I decided to use Yew longbows. ![]() As you can see, yew longbows have a pretty stable price and from the looks of it isn't really going to jump or fall and even if it does, it won't be drastic. Although it's not added in the picture you can see the prices for that day: Minimum price: 576 Market price: 584 Maximum price: 613 The best way to do this is to go in the Grand Exchange and buy a good amount of the item. The way I like to do this is to take about 25% off the market price. You can do this by taking the market price and times it by .025. You will get how much you should take off the market price which would most likely be a good price to buy at. When you sell the items you do the same thing but divide the market price so you can find a good sell price. With the Grand Exchange it's pretty easy to determine the prices which to buy and sell at. Because it's easy to predict what players will do, buying and selling consumable items for profit becomes very easy. With these items players tend to sell low to quickly get rid of the item for cash, and they also like to buy high to avoid the wait so they can get onto with the training. Sometimes it might take some time for the item to buy or sell. If you're buying and it's not selling, you can either wait until they do buy or look for another item. Just remember one thing, using the database to predict prices can be very risky. A crash can happen at any time resulting in a loss of money. The more you buy the more you're bound to lose. So make sure you're comfortable with the item you're looking at, the price you're buying at and keep an eye on the graphs. So with that, have fun.

How To Solo General Graardor [Bandos] Skills Required (minimum): 80+ Attack, 85+ Strength, 80+ Defense, 80+ hitpoints, 43+ Prayer, 80+ Hitpoints, 40+ Summoning What to wear: Verac's Helmet Verac's Brassard Verac's Plateskirt Verac's Flail Amulet of Strength Climbing Boots Zamorak cape Rune Gloves Lumbridge gold ring (from achievement diary) (What makes this outfit so good is, if you die, you lose next to nothing, considering you use item protect.) Inventory: Prayer Potion (4 x 2 Super Attack (3) Super Strength (3) Ancient Mace Hammer (needed!) 22 Sharks Summon your BEST beast of burden and fill it up with sharks Getting the kill count Go down to Godwars, and run directly north. You will be attacked by some Saradomin followers, but it should not be a problem if you use protect range. If you really want, you can bring a saradomin item but it is not required. Run north until you see water and many goblins/hobgoblins. Get your kill count on them, this should take around 5-10 minutes. After you get 40, equip your ancient mace and run west until you arrive at the bandos door. Click on it and you will go in (You need a hammer!). Continue up north until you arrive at Graardors door (you will see him inside). Note: The ancient mace counts as a bandos item, but requires the completion of the quest "Death to the Dorgeshaun." You don't "need" a bandos item, but I like using it because the followers of bandos don't attack me. If you don't wanna risk using the boots, and don't want to do the quest, just run with prayer protections to the door of bandos. You probably won't waste much food. Killing Graardor Before you go in, I suggest using the special attack of the Ancient Mace on any monster, that is not too tough. The special will restore your prayer by how much you hit, and will even go over your prayer level. Take a sip of Super attack and super strength and go inside. Also make sure to activate the following prayers: Item Protect, Protect Mellee, and Piety. If you can't use piety then use the level 28, level 31, and level 34 prayer moves. Next it gets pretty simple, attack Graardor with your flail, and hope that the Verac's special set will activate. After you eat a few pieces of food MAKE SURE you take off your lumbridge explorers ring. This will be your source of escaping, just choose cabbage port, it is an instant teleport. Attack Graardor and make sure your prayer doesn't fall too much, and also make sure your healthpoints are at least above 55. Blah Blah Blah I started doing Godwars from 81 attack, 88 strength and 76 defence, and I was able to kill Graardor once per trip. Without my trusty bull ant, the trips were impossible for me, because I ran out of food. I did around 100 trips, so I am pretty familiar with it. A reason why I like to solo Bandos instead of the other bosses, is because getting the kill count takes about 5 minutes, while the others take up to a half hour. Most of Graardors drops will make up for your supplies used (rune platebody, rune 2h etc). I failed to kill Graardor only about 3 times in 100 trips, so I can almost guarantee that you will be able to kill him if your stats are decent. I have gotten 3 items from Graardor: 2 bandos tassets, and bandos boots, all which I got around 26m for. The prices for the items, unfortunatley, are dropping but it is still very good to solo him in my opinion. One thing I should note is that, if you are out of food and Graardor has a bit of hp left, stay! Even if you die, you lose maybe 20k, so it is worth staying and hoping to kill him. Obviously if graardor still has more than half hp and you are out of food, don't stay but if he is close to death then don't leave. The reason why I use "Cabbage Port" is because it saves me a whole inventory space, therefore I get more sharks. You would be surprised, I lost a bandos hilt once, because I didn't have an extra shark =( You can also use this outfit to solo him. Any godsword works, in my opinion Armadyl would be best because you get two great hits.: ![]() Some of my drops (feels pretty good getting one ![]() And this is why an extra shark makes a difference ![]() I hope you enjoyed my guide! Try soloing Graardor today, it's fun, exciting and really easy!

Getting 99 Attack/ Strength / Defence EASY!
Step 1: buy 10k noted salmon Step 2: buy a decent melee outfit, bandos works best. step 3: If you want to train strength buy a saradomin sword or dragon scim. Defence or Attack, buy a whip. step 4: bring 100k, the noted salmon, a shantay pass and unnoted food. Bring a zamorak / saradomin item (unholy symbol, sara/zammy cape etc) step 5: go through shantay pass and travel to bandit camp. step 6: there will be alot of small houses with bandits in them , go in and they auto attack you. Fight back. step 7: turn on your tv, read a book, browse the net. You can do all this while your characer fights. step 8: Check every 5 minutes, and heal. They wont hit too often. When you run outa food run to the general store (right near by), sell unoted salmon and buy back. Step 9: you can get 40k xp per hour for strength, and up to 50k her pour for defence and attack, for doing nothing but watching tv. FAQS. Isnt this AFKING? No it is not, it is not against the rules to watch tv/read a book while you play rs. What if i die? It is easy to get back here if you die. Grab a shantay pass, 200gp, and dueling ring. Use it to get back (you can in less than 2 minutes). I got 99 strength like this over the summer, on two accounts. I plan to do this next summer for attack. I do this for most of my training.

I'm sorry but I refuse to believe you can solo Graardor at 80 defence. I'm 95 defence and his range still rips through me, even whilst wearing full torags. I have solo'd using Veracs, though, and that works great.
Also, I'd recommend using a dragon hally spec on graardor over the mace. Just use the mace for protection and then use the d hally/flail combo once you're in there.

His range does hit through me but I still manage to solo him. Look at my bandos tasset drop, and check me on the highscores.
Defence doesn't make that much of a difference at graardor in my opinion, it is attack that is the most important. I see players with 99 defence constantly being hit with his range attack. If you don't believe me I don't know what to say, I can solo him. I can kill him once per trip, and if I am super lucky twice.
