Ok well we removed the password so people can come in and out depending on what the arguments are about in the lobby.

If its a neoseeker ventrilo server, then i'll definitely have to move it.

However, before I created this thread I consulted Angy and Dyna about the use of it for the Runescape community, because quite frankly little/no people from neo used it, at least not on a regular basis did they. If its going to be regarded as a general neoseeker chat room then theres no point because of the 8 slots. It makes it damn hard for those who play Runescape to get on. I for one do not agree with the Ventrilo being used for WoW gameplay amongst others, like it has been the last week or so.

Think of the Vent as the IRC.

You have IRCops who run the server and then you have Ops within the channels themselves. Giving someone the admin password to the ENTIRE server is the same as making someone an IRCop. Giving admin access in a channel fine, but the information you gave was to the entire server.

Dyna would not give IRCops without speaking to me first, I presumed you would have done the same in the same token.

And again, the ORIGINAL USE of the Vent was for Neo as a whole, Ruenscape just kind of took it over, which I was fine with.

Good luck finding a Vent server that would give you Admin access without you paying for it, or a license.

Look how large the IRC is compared to Ventrilo though. You cant have "ops" or "moderators" or "generals" like you can elsewear. We saw how ineffective and useless channel admin is, if the recipients of the admin details decided to use them in a malicious way, then they would simply be revoked them and possibly banned. For such a small, 8 person server like we have, all the steps you would take in other programs are disregarded.

The fact remains the Vent server is a fail idea at the moment due to the fact that the space is limited. Based on the actions and attitudes, I am hardly willing to pay out of pocket for a license for more spaces to be available.

The TS is still set up and can be used, with Gribbz and Acy being granted Admin access in the Runescape channels only, but that would be something that would need to be discussed. Since neither of the mods have discussed anything with me or Dyna ((As far as I know)) in regards to TS, none of the channels are set up for strict RS use only.

We can all cool off now im sure. Me and Angy came up with a solution on PM, so the Runescape password has been removed, people can feel free to go in and out if they please, and Angy can make a diff private channel if needs be, it all works out in the end.
