I spotted on all the way North West. I wasn't able to interact with it because it was on the other side of the "current".

I also was able to interact with Orca's in open ocean south down towards the bottom. Also, the island that is completely east in Ocean South, if you go North, you might spot the Blue whale. I wasn't able to interact with that though.

Whale Sharks can be found and killedunder the compass on the map. The Orca whales are around Seal Island.
