this is probley a stupid thing 2 notice but i saw that some of the default houses downtown have higher decks and u can build onto them and they will stay higher but how do u make the deck higher when u buil ur own house??

You can build a deck on top of another deck if you wanted to.

I'm pretty sure there are a few of them to choose from, and some of them only work by themselves, while others can be stacked up onto each other. Try using different ones and see which one is which.

Another thing you can do is go into that lot in Build mode, delete a couple of existing foundation blocks and see what exactly was used to create the deck. Then exit the lot without saving.
