I decided to reinstall NFS most wanted as I was unable to complete it with my old PC back in the day. But as you can see from my message title i was disappointed with the in game maximum screen resolution of 1600x1200 on my 30 inch monitor.

It doesn't get the dual link DVI connection working as it's below minimum 1920x1200 requirement so the picture looks dull and washed out even with Max settings. PC hardware was moved on so much from 2005 when the game was originally released and you get so used to higher and crisper resolutions on modern games it's a shock to see the difference a fair few years made in the game development standards.

To solve my problem I searched Google and found the resolution hack floating around the forums (by Racer_S), which allows you to put any resolution on widescreens and even notebooks but unfortunately it wouldn't work on my copy of the NFS most wanted Black edition version 1.3 .

I was wondering if anybody knew of a registry hack or a game.ini file which I could manipulate to increase the screen resolution instead of this hack which unfortunately is not working for me?
