the stupid glitch in the game is driving me nuts! do i have to start all over so that i can drop that cage on his head.. or is there another way to beat that thing??? please help!!!

This fight will pis you off a bit as the levers are very hard to lock onto and pull. I ran to the right bell statue first standing halfway between the middle walkway and bell away from the water. Don't bother shooting the Hydra bullets don't affect it. Shoot the bell first to get it ringing and radiating yellow sound waves. This sound will distract the Hydra momentarily. As soon as you see it turn it's head to listen to the noise stop firing and grapple hook the lever and immediately pull the lever. This will bring the cage crashing down on the Hydra's head if you do it fast enough. Do this on the left the same way. If you screw up just run to the other side so as to allow the cage to reset and run back over to try again. Use diving rolls to dodge attacks. No after the front 2 run up the middle walkway and ring those bells doing the same thing. I found these levers very hard to lock onto but if you stand towards the very end of the middle walkway the Hydra seems unable to attack you very easily. After all 4 hit the Hydra in the head it will die and float in the water as a walkway to a cave opening. Obviously you don't want to fall in the water at this stage. I thought this boss fight was a bit buggy with the levers but you can get it after a few curses and tries.
