Why does everyone love Spiritomb? Sableye also has Dark/Ghost, and it's easier to catch! Is it because it's rare?

It's becuase the 2 of them have no weaknesses.

And it's significantly better.

Problem most fail to realize is that it still sucks.

I'm not saying it sucks, it's just that people think it's the ultimate pokemon. There is no such thing as an indestructable pokemon! Spiritomb with Wonder Gusrd can be defeated!

Spiritomb is poor because it's just a punier Dusknoir who's also (IMO) less cool. Though Tomby DOES have the best cry of the 4th gen. <_>

But really, Dusknoir only has worse typing than Spiritomb, and even then it's not exactly bad. Most Crunch/Shadow Claw/Balls are easy to spot, and Will-O-Wisp still ruins most of them. Plus Duskoir has a pretty good physical movepool, just no STAB.

Here are the ways to kill Wonder Gaurd Spiritomb.

1.Use Darkrai.Put Spiritomb asleep with a move that can be used on normal Spiritomb and let Ability work.

2.Use pokemon with Mold Breaker. Then destroy Spiritomb.

OR!
Use a Kangeskan.
It has an ability to hit ghost pokes.

I know it can be defeated. I also remember the days in the Advance Generation where a bunch of hyperactive children made Sableye and Shedinja OU just because of their typing and ability.

I think I get off by Spiritomb's 50 HP.

i didnt know that i thought that in d/p they first introduce the two types with no weakenss

but people like spiritomb because its rare and i have to do a lot to find one

Spirtomb is just a slightly weaker Dusknoir with a much better typing. They have essentially the same options, and the same things work for both (Pain Split in particular). Dusknoir just does it better because he's slightly bulkier, even though he has weaknesses.
